Is this a joke or do you actually think the game runs well?

[When asked whether ESO might one day become unable to be updated, forcing either a rebuilt version "from the ground up" or a sequel, Firor said, "We're obviously doing our job right if you haven't noticed, but we're tearing down the engine, one room at a time, all the time." Firor laughed. "So the engine right now is much different from when we launched. It could never have scaled to what we do now. So we're constantly, behind the scenes, making it better."]

It scaled so well that after several years they had to reduce groups from 24 to 12 because servers werent able to cope.
    I think they are delusional.

That's a bit harsh, I don't see any issues with the statement.

Have you ever seen the face of a gaming company say, "Yeah, we're sucking hard and we just can't get it together."

What do you expect him to say?

I expect him not to blatantly lie, that's all.

I would rather them come out and actually address all the performance problems than just pretending everything is fine to suck in new players who will quit in a few months because the game barely runs most days.

I was personally incredibly disappointed when I read that myself; what arrogance in a company to sit there and say you're "obviously doing your job right" when the only reason the game is still afloat is due to their insane marketing to get a constant stream of new people who aren't yet familiar with the its many, MANY technical pitfalls. Just goes to show how little they actually value feedback. The only improvements they've done to the engine have been to increase the sheer volume of purchasable content, and in many cases that has come directly at the cost of the quality of gameplay.

Remember when No Man's Sky flopped? Hello Games owned up to their mistakes and fixed them over the years, slowly building up players' trust and delivering more than they promised. Just saying.

I’m not one to defend Firor, but he said they are making it better, he didn’t say that it runs well.

Game stability and performance in pvp is still bad. But it is much better than when the game was at its worst.

yeah it is better than it was at it worst but still for months and months it is definitelly not better and nos taing at same state, with every months it changes nothing or to worse so definitelly they are not making it better if game is getting worse
