Mirri has the worst hair style and flat color that I've seen in ESO. A fetcher fly looks better than Mirri. Come on give her some color and some bulk in that hair!
All I'm asking for here, is to add a LITTLE more red or brown to Mirri, and add some texture to her hair, as it is now, it looks like she smeared a bugloss ointment into her hair to hold it down. We don't need that!
She does not seems like a vain type, so my guess is that she goes around with her natural hair colour in a practical adventuring style?
That is fine, just use the hairstyle that is practical but actually has some TEXTURE and bulk to the hair. This current hair style looks like pure low pixel, smeared up JPG made in Paint.net
Yeah, that's exactly what we need: another follower taunting us with an unavailable hairstyle. Maybe they'll even make it Velsa's, so we can be taunted by the two most hotly requested and unreleased hairstyles no matter which companion we choose!
I'm really happy that she at least has a basegame style. It's nothing special, but at least it's not like Basti taunting us with a style that's been requested for years but never released.. and it doesn't look like it's releasing anytime soon.
But seriously, a lot of these problems could have been solved if we'd just have been able to put helms on them. Not everyone would want to, but then some people would have their companions looking different to the rest.
Eh. I mean, I think it would be cool to be able to customize their appearance more, and it was something I wanted to see, but now that they've been released, I'm fine with this. They're not you, they're NPCs. You can't change Raz's hair colour or make Darien taller. They're supposed to be their own people, with their own tastes.
I think we'll probably get there eventually, but think of how long we've been begging to be able to dye our own hair and that hasn't happened yet. (Black hair on Altmer when?) Maybe companion adornments would be a good place to start - nothing wrong with giving your friend a nice coronet or set of earrings and them wearing it because they like it, or because they like you.
PC NA, CP2200+. Character creation is the true endgame.
Amalien slowly rolls her wheelchair around the large pile of luggage, book boxes, and excavation tools. "I think this is everything we need to scry and excavate Saarthal, Varanis. Maybe we'll find some Atmoran artifacts! Though that might be too obvious an explanation..."
Varanis begins directing the assembled porters to lug everything down to their ship at the Solitude docks. To Amalien, she says, "I'm ready to go once Mirri arrives. I sent her to the apothecary to get something for seasickness."
The front door of the Antiquarian's Circle bangs open. Varanis begins to scold, then shuts up as Mirri marches in, and wags her finger in her face. "Do you know that your fetching apothecary sells hair care products made with torchbug parts?"
"Er, no. I had no idea, I swear."
Amalien peers up at Mirri's furious scowl. "I take it this is a bad thing."
"It's awful! Torchbugs are so pretty and all these people do is them apart and smash them up for potion ingredients."
Varanis sighs, "Did you at least get the seasickness cure from her first?"
"Oops? I'm sorry. I got so angry I called her a switch. And she's a fellow Dunmer, so she called me a fetching guar who's hairstyle is so plain that I ought to shave it all off and start over!"
"I wouldn't shave it off." Varanis said. "But you have to admit that a braid is pretty basic. You really don't want to change things up?"
"Oh, shut up. I never see you with anything other than that side bun."
"That's because it fits well under helmets...which you refuse to wear. What's your excuse?"
"I like my hair and I don't want to change it!"
Amalien clears her throat and points to where the porters are hauling out the last of the boxes. "Do we need to get a seasickness cure before we leave, soon?"
"Mirri, if you'll escort Amalien down to the docks, I'll go beg for your seasickness cure."
"Just make sure there are no torchbug or butterfly parts in it!"
I don't know what's worst: that they choose a hair color that doesn't compliments the skin tone they choose for her (also one of the worst skin tones for Dunmer too--most costume/armor dyes make her look sickly), or they choose a hairstyle that doesn't work well with the Brassy Assassin personality so when she shifts weight to her right foot and looks over to the left, the long braid sticks out and floats over her right shoulder awkwardly. This is a known problem with many of the "long" hairstyles when combined with that personality. It's just so ugly.
Also, I didn't care for them making the first 2 companions redheads. Sorry, IRL redheads, your hair color is not universally desirable.
At least she doesn't have those horrible pigtails like Eveli... /shudder.
At least that hairstyle doesn't do the ugly thing I described above, but that said, I wouldn't mind the pigtails so much if I haven't had endure being in voice chat with one too many grown dudes who were like, "Ooooh, I really like the pigtails on female characters!" Yeah, ok, we know what kind of *** you're into now. Thanks for tainting this for us.
I want to be able to change their hair. Bastian needs long Conan The Barbarian-type hair, and Mirri just needs something different so my Mirri doesn't look like a clone of a hundred other player's Mirris. I don't mind her hair color. It's not exciting, but at least she has a pretty face.
