Farming multiple copies of the same survey map at once

I just tend to get them done as I get them; as in I'll tend to clear them up daily, if not every other day; this way they don't build up into a massive chore and with very few duplicates, of course.

When I do get duplicates I just take the few moments to get far enough away.

I can certainly see how having dozens if not hundreds "waiting" to be done could be very frustrating. It's just not something I've "allowed" myself to getting into storing them for later.

Could it work better? Yup, but I also see if one chooses to store and hoard them for later that's a bit of a self-inflicted wound. I'm not saying you shouldn't or can't, or are "bad" for doing so. It's all personal choice. I choose to take a few minutes daily to get the few I do get done so they don't build up.
PC NA Yes, I use add-ons.

Me and my 7K surveys would love this idea.

I tend to keep my surveys for double materials events. So yeah, I would love to be able to use them all at once.

As a senior player, I happen to have a large quantity of every possible type of surveys, and I know I am not the only one in this situation.
When you have multiple copies of the same survey, you have to ride away an unspecified, temperamentally variable distance, and come back for the survey to respawn. It takes literally hours to ride back and forth, back and forth, for each one of your many survey copies.

Is this fun or a good use of our time? I would rather be doing something else, really.

There are then some surveys located in impossible locations, like the alchemy one in Eastmarch, on an island in the middle of the lake. You cannot ride there back and forth: you have to swim first, then ride away, ride back, swim again to the island: minute after minute elapses, slowly... your life is wasted. I have given up on those surveys.

Dear ZOS, we really need to change this and make it possible to complete how many surveys we want and are in our inventory in one go.
Doing surveys one by one is still ok-ish if you are a new player and you have only a couple. Other than that, it is a waste of time, of our lives, and kills the wish to play.
They also take up space in our inventory, a much needed space.
Please address this as part of some future improvement.

    Thanks

Please ZOS, I am begging, this would be such a QoL improvement. These are meant to be a reward, and we aren't even able to sell them; with there being so many zones now, it's a really good time to look at updating how these are handled.

You made crafting so painless, and I appreciate it, but this would be a timesave that let us get back to the game itself so much faster, rather than run in circles.

Use the distance between the Geirmund's Hall wayshrine (The Rift) and the enchantment survey location as a distance benchmark.

My approach: I don't hoard them up indefinitely, once a week I pick almost everything. I just keep one of each type for the hypothesis of seal of endeavor showing up asking for a survey/"x" type mats to be collected.

Unfortunately double drops don't apply to surveys.

My idea would be: Do all surveys of a location you have in your backpack at once. I mean: The quantity of a node is multiplied by the number of surveys. And the whole stack is used.

I wrote the same thing several times in recent years. No more riding to and fro please.

Huh. Well I suppose that knowledge will free up some space from my crafter's inventory.
