Ps4/PS5 spammed with group invite notifications

With the latest update whenever we group up we are now spammed with invite notifications. I thought I had found a PSN notifications setting to turn these off, but that doesn't seem to do anything. Please please can you stop these from occurring, we know we are inviting people to groups, or other people have been added to the same group as we can see them or have done it!
