Audio Books for the Lore (specifically Vivec's Sermons)

Is there such a thing available? If not, then why not?

You could make money, or do it for free or someone could come up with another solution as parsing the text and having an AI read it or something.

#MOST PREFERABLE - have the ingame voice actors associated with the lore actually READ it and have it available to download as MP3 or audiobook format or something.

#Acceptable - Provide all the LORE BOOK as text, and have an AI voice bot read it (Siri, Alexa, Tiktok voices, etc).

Other ideas, would be an addon that would parse the text of any book/scroll opened ingame and a AI/OS bot voice could read the text to you as soon as you open the book.

Or, above and beyond voice actors could read the text aloud, record a file for each book and have them as catalogs to download in an ADDON. When the ingame associated book is opened, the audio file is played.

Some great lore in this game, but too many of the player cannot spend the time to read it.

Imagine being able to find a new book and the first time found, an audio file plays and reads it to you...

Yeah, this is a good idea.

I would very much enjoy this. I have all of the printed Lore books.

Audio books would be a very nice addition to this. Especially if they went the extra mile and had a particular voice actor reading for a particular author.

I cycle to school (to teach, not study) every day. Audio copies of the lore books would certainly make some of that 1+ hour of cycling more enjoyable.

You couldn’t *actually* make money, OP, because that’s intellectual property belonging to the creators of the game (or, more likely, the Bethesda, Zenimax, etc.). If they believed it would be profitable for them to do this, no doubt they would.

I had assumed that the OP meant that ZOS would do this. The suggestion that they would use the official voice actors gave me that impression (I can't see them doing it for free).

The added add-on business was something I just took to mean it was optional: I know some people who would hate this just as much as I would love it.

Definitely not in favour of IP theft.

As for profitability. ZOS has access to the facilities to record this kind of thing. They may even be able to slot in time with the VAs when they are already in for the next Chapter/DLC... as such, I don't doubt that ZOS could turn a profit at this. However, given what seems to be ZOS's current acceptable effort vs. acceptable profit balance, I doubt it would ever be profitable enough for them to do it. As you have suggested.

Rottendeadite (from the Selectives Lorecast) does an amazing job narrating the Sermons: https://m.soundcloud.com/rottendeadite/36-lessons-sermon-01

If you can find people who want to read the book and record it.

Find people who can make an AddOn for it

    its possible

I agree this is awesome, need more of this! Just imagine if the audio file could play automatically when you open that corresponding book in-game.

In the meantime, and it is far from perfect I've settled on this solution.

Google Chrome browser (others may work as well).

Extension for Reading Selected Text to Speech ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/read-aloud-a-text-to-spee/hdhinadidafjejdhmfkjgnolgimiaplp )

Using https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Books_by_Subject for my text source.

Highlighting it and allowing the browser extension to read it to me.

Using the "Premium Voice - Amazon English British - Amy" voice, (you have to login to use the premium voice for waveform AI).
