About future companions

It looks like we will have one or two new companions every year. Perhaps we will have a new companion in the Q4 DLC. And I'm just totally horrified and terrified at the thought that for each new companion, I will have to farm daily guild quests for each new companion. Lord please no! This is terrible, it shouldn't be. And the report? The scale should be halved.

thats only if they use the same template:class-weap-armor-guild, now if they changed it up for some of the later possible comps that are less humanoid, things could be interesting, like the talking skull from summerset, talking atronachs, exiled monsters, and... lyranth(!!!), or another daedra/dremora, none of which would need guild dailies.

I am hoping future companions do not have access to the fighter/mages guild. Instead, perhaps we have a psijic companion and he uses other dailies to level up a unique skill line. Or any number of things. The sky is the limit really since they don't have to balance companions that much because they are so weak anyway.

But yeah, i'm with you. I'm not looking forward to doing 22 more mages/fighter's guild dailies for Bastian, let alone more companions in the future. I hope they change it up.

I'm sure it was completely intended to have each require a grind of old repeatable content.

The best you can expect is ZoS also selling you a solution by way of Crown +Rapport or +Rapport speed items.

Given how we got DK/NB-like companions this time, it's possible that the rest of the classes will be released in the future, and yes, each will be like levelling a new alt. If they at least add their gear to the Stickerbook, it would greatly help the gearing grind.

I really hope we can pick one of our alts as a companion. I wouldn't mind the CPU controlling them. I would find it fantastic either way. Also a excellent way to exchange items between characters instead of using the bank and needing to logoff and login back.

I tested companions on the PTS and even beyond my original comment found them to be not something I would spend money on. In fact U30 was so distasteful it got me to cancel ESO + on all the family accounts, but that is an aside.

But if they introduced a Khajiit companion I might buy whatever dlc I had to in order to get it, just for the comedy value. Exactly like a houseguest, only one that follows you around. DLCs aren't much more expensive than some houseguests.

I'd support alts as companions, although, to be honest, even my crafting alts would be embarrassed by companion combat behavior.

Im pretty sure thats the intent. They def would help sell content by adding new companions in . I think they mention they have another pass to the concept just wasnt done yet, and man people complaining about needing to go to old ocntent dont get the games ment to be the whole world usable .
