Casually. Just doing daily quests on 12 out of 18 characters, 4 with Bastian and 8 with Mirri. If there's any spare time, take them on delve and public dungeons gathering anything I missed like skyshards, skill point events, and quests. I'm going slow and steady, no exp boosts or farming runs, so Mirri is almost 17 and Bastian is almost 14.

My companions get no quest turn in experience. They only get exp from kills.

Just doing normal stuff. Bastian is level 8 and Mirri is level 1. I quit using her after picking a bug up and losing rapport after 10 seconds of having her. But yea just doing normal questing and exploring. They seem to gain levels fairly easily but you do have to be fighting mobs for them to get exp which is kind of sad. Completely understandable though and I wouldn't want them to gain levels too quickly either.

Pretty much this. I don't have the time to be glued to eso like I used to grinding away all those minutes and hours. Just casually in my own time doing little bit by little bit.
I no longer understand the mad rush to completing when it will only be changed 😂🤣😂🤣

I use Mirri as a healer on my main character (a warden) and I do all three guild dailies every day, plus I finished the Blackwood content with her at my side. I use Bastian as a tank for my necromancer; with him I also do the guild dailies, then just general questing - currently working thru Stormhaven. Mirri is level 13 and Bastian is level 11, since I play my warden more often.

In both cases, if the delve or public dungeon for the daily has quests that the character has not yet done, I make it a point to do the quests as well, while I'm there. Seems to be working fine.

Best places: Greenshade zombies. Also the one public dungeon in Bangkorai right above Evermore across the river. The map is set up in a way where you can just run in a circle gather all the enemies in each room, and they'll be respawned by the time you make your next loop. Use an xp booster, and they'll be maxed fairly quickly

How much XP do companions get for quests? Is it worth it?

No, but I'm levelling a toon anyway so picked up the companions first.

Outside of daily quests I like Craglorn overland group areas.

Public Dungeons with XP scrolls and Mirri is already lvl20 (now I'm lvling other weapons).

Anyone notice that when you mow down a large number of mobs at once you get a few alternate lines from Mirri:

"You're like a legend of Vhek!"
&
"That's a slaughter Dagon would envy!"

I get these a lot in PDs

I'll try to get one Undaunted, Mages and Fighter's guild quest run in per day, to boost my companions guild skill lines. Other than that, they just follow me around, doing whatever I'm doing at the time.
