CP tree on two character of same race and domain having different base stats????

HIgh,

A friend of mine and I are comparing two of the same characters that are of the same race and domain. Both characters are High Elf Sorcs and are of the Aldmeri Dominion. We stripped down both toons. I have approx 166 CP points less then he does. We are both above 1000 cps. Here are the stats below:

Max Mag = 21104, Mag rec = 730
Max Health = 17960, Health recovery = 1567 (mine), his toon has 2197 <--- This is a major concern that I have.....
Max stamina = 12000, stamina rec = 664

CP trees were dumped. We both went in the CP tree a put into the Fitness tree 50 pts in Boundless Vitality, 50 pts into Ironclad, 50 pts in rejuvenation, 50 pts in strategic reserve, with minimum pts to open up hero's vigor with 20 pts, tumbling at 15 pts, and 10 in mystic tenacity. He matched my points in my tree.

So, we are even in pts in the tree, we stripped down our characters with no spells or armor/weapons. We both have the boon: Steed for health recovery.

I am at a loss as to why his health recovery is 630 pts more than mine. Is there a stepping on the amount of cpts gained vs what you recieve in pts in health recovery? Or, is there something more to this when a character and/or account that is created that allows certain players to have different basic stats when CP points are added to the tree? He came in ESO before Morrowind and I can in when Morrowind came out. Was there a base change to any character created between DLCs? What could cause this to happen? Another thought was could a race change cause this issue?

Devs, can you answer this one?

Are you sure all the stars are slotted?

Even if they look like they are, just Confirm again.

Are you a vampire? They have reduced health recovery, and stage 2 would result in the ~30% difference you show.

It could also be a bugged mundus stone. Try taking a different one, then swapping back to the Steed.

The cp star Strategic reserve gives health recovery for every ultimate you have, make sure you both have 0 ultimate when comparing.

The stars are slotted. NO vampires, everything is stripped. We have not spells or ultimates at all. No armor. The first two trees are left blank. The last tree (fitness) is all that is left with the mentioned points above.

Ea toon is identical, except for the points in health. He did state that his toon was a high elf female before he changed it over to a male high elf. So, I'm wondering if there is a "carrier" over of stats from one to one when there is a race or gender change?

Is it that you have no spells equipped or did you both reset all your skill points to zero? Also I'm not sure if resetting points or unequipped skills resets your ultimate to zero - you might be better off equipping an ult, using it, and then resetting points to compare if you haven't done that already.

Male and female characters are only different aesthetically, so his gender change shouldn't have anything to do with it.

So, we both went to the Mage mundus and got the new mundus stone. I now went to 1329 in health recovery. He accepted the mage mundus and his health recovery is at 1959 recovery. His cps are the same as mine. He is still at 630 pts ahead.

What happens when you both remove strategic reserve? Looks like he has 210 more ultimate than you do.

No spells or ultimate on characters. No armor No weapons. Just the cp tree from the fore mentioned and boon that was done.

That's a curious way to say it, so just humor me one more time: Both of you have 0 ultimate (the resource that goes from 0 to 500 and is used up when you use an ultimate ability) and removing Strategic Reserve changes nothing?

Ok, so we took out the strategic reserve. No spells or ultimate. I'm down to 459 in Health recovery. He just took strategic reserve out and has a health recovery of 459 base. We both just put in the Steed mundus and we both now have 697 health recovery.

We both just selected the strategic reserver which is maxed out at 50, placed it in one of the 4 spots above, and confirmed our selections. I'm now at 1567 Health recovery with a Health recovery idle of 2496. He has a health recovery of 2197 and a health recovery idle of 3126.

He'll be on the forums to confirm this in a minute.

OK, I'm confirming Pyrius Omega's thread. I'm the one with the different stats..1206 cp

I do have high health regen for some odd reason but not damage output. We were in a DLC and I was only doing 1 to 70 points of damage on a veteran boss. lol

Can the Devs chime in on this and tell us why this is happening with the health regen of characters? Is the CP tree not working, especially the strategic reserve....

Seems to me strategic reserve is doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Give 30 health recovery for every 10 unused ultimate you have.

How about both of you slot an ultimate ability and use it? (i.e. reduce your ultimate resource to 0)

These are base stats no alt or skills slotted.

AFAIK, strategic reserve works from your ultimate resource, independent of whether or not you have an ultimate ability slotted. I'm guessing that when you say no spells or ultimate, you're referring to your skill bars, but unslotting any ultimate abilities will not remove your ultimate resource. You'll want to both build up, then dump ultimate on a target, then recompare stats without having done anything to earn ultimate in between.
