They did it again? With showing the Stonehusk battle on Dragon-Bridge...

Seems like they want to do that kind of gameplay with how often they show it

Wierd thing is it showed actual gameplay. So either that was cut content, they created the fight only for the trailer, or it was animated so it's not actually gameplay.

I'm also just super disapointed that the ivory brigade vs black fin legion fight is on the official website. It's intentionally misleading and false advertising. really disapointing that ZOS would do this.

Zos has been false advertising since the dawn of time, they said cyrodiil will be dynamic with alot of features but never delivered. Same with all the Daedra they showed in the commercials, no big battles nothing. Thanks zos.

I swear I have heard that voiceover and that music over steadily faster cuts in 5000 trailers now. The only things they missed were a foreboding final voiceover from Eveli over the studio logo "this will be the end of us all" or some such, and the nostalgia shot at the very end (I dunno, some of the companions or maybe the Millennium Falcon or something, because why not?). Otherwise 1/10 for inventiveness.

A version of honest trailers is really needed for video games.

I played the chapter - still want NPC armies.

The chapter is not over yet

You're acting like people didn't pay 50 quid for the MAIN PART OF THE EXPANSIONS. the quest had literally 0 elements like that, nothing even close to it, not even any invasion scenes, just Daedra places outside of a tiny orange circle. So now i have to pay for the sub to get gratifying effects and the ending to a story? The entire main expansion story was so underwhelming. Dagon literally didn't speak until he said a few lines at the end and just faded away, the rest of the time he literally just stood in the background. I literally paid 50 quid for 3ish hour quest that literally just had be me portal everywhere and talk to NPCs that had so much over exposition rehashing what i did 10 seconds ago like I'm some sort of imbecile, clearly only added because 1) it fluffs up the playtime and 2) clearly majority of their budget goes to Voice acting. I never get when people that say "the story isn't over" as if the ending isn't going to be locked behind a paywall.

Yeah... it is played out. As I understand, there will be no more areas this year, so what we have coming up are two dungeons. Not sure how they would make a a big battle in that context, but then I suppose it is possible. Not counting on it though, after the happy endings and all.

The Chapter released on PC on June 1st so a lot of people already finished the chapter already, whereas the console players just got it like 2 days ago I think. Also, the Chapter was on the PTS, so some PC players already started exploring the chapter weeks before the release on June 1st.

Okay I'll spell it out for you, since you seem to not understand.. Remember the Reach.? The last part of the Western Skyrim story.? It was added AFTER the chapter.. They can do the same thing again here, if they choose to.. Give it time, let the chapter unfold fully before tearing out their throats.. The intro movie could just be showing things to come, something to look forward to

Difference is, last year ZOS was clear on that they would make the story on two different maps.

They were equally clear this year that the story would be on one larger map, not two. So there will be no Markarth-ish map this year, and the next DLC will be two dungeons.

Last dlc will be deadlands, dungeons are releasing as always without any affect on q4 dlc.

Yet again this "army" was just a promo shot, it's what 99% of companies doing, nothing special about it, just showcased some new assets and that's it.

There's always a lot of action that takes place offscreen in the game, which our characters are told about but don't witness. Just because our characters don't get to see it or live through it doesn't mean that it didn't happen. The action in the trailers falls into that category, since our characters are never shown in them.

I've played the story - there is no word on tensions between Leyawiin and Gideon.

Also I am an advocate of "Show don't Tell"

The trailers are there to say "Hey - this is what you'll see in the game" but we don't.

(EDIT: this is a gameplay trailer - not a cinematic trailer)

My problems with marketing aside - I've wanted NPC armies since launch back in 2014, still waiting on it

"Also I am an advocate of "Show don't Tell""

Agreed. I for one was just shocked at how they "hid" the whole battle from us. I would elaborate, but not sure how to do the "spoiler"-thingie.

(Also, how do you Edit a post? Sorry, forum-n00b here) :-)
