whats the most useful skills to take other than your class or weapon or armor

Darkspecialist
im talking like vampire, dark brotherhood, thief, scrying.. basically everything else. I have a toon i want to do everything on regardless if theres enough skill points or not. I made a new character and wanted to grind all the quests and dungeons and get achievements. So like there are things id like to do early as i have no interest in them later like doing the daily battle ground. not into pvp but im willing to give 10 minutes each day for the daily. Or thief and darkbrotherhood..same thing do the daily as i quest.

so by the the time im 50 and 160 with this character the bulk of the work will be done by the time all the quests are done. Im just curious if theres something i should put a little more time in now to help me sooner by mid levels like Legerdemain and such.

opinion?

For messing around overland, my favourite 'skill' is the Shadow Rider in DB passives. Combine with the Continuous Attack in Assault passives.

I've never tried Shadow Rider but that would help a newer player get around and farm skyshards for sure.

Alliance War skill Continuous Assault is a definite must-have. If you are, or plan on ever being a Stamina character then Vigor and Caltrops are both very good skills to have available.

So to pick just one, Assault would be my recommendation.

But also join the Psijic order by completing the intro quest. You don't have to level it up but getting in on the ground floor lets you see Psijic Portals all over the world with lots of nice loot.

There will be enough skill points for everything but not time by 50/160 in all likelihood. Guild skills are important and depending on whether your main is stam or Magicka concentrate on Fighters or mages guild respectively though not necessarily exclusively. Then at level 45 you can unlock Undaunted.

You can get Undaunted way earlier. You won't see the daily pledges until 45, but you can take Bolgrul's daily delve quests and do random normal dungeons for decent Undaunted xp.

By the way you can unlock Undaunted at lv3. And starting Psijic up to point of seeing Psijic portals is a good idea.

    Persuasive Will, Mages Guild
    Intimidating Presence, Fighters Guild
    Shadow Rider, Dark Brotherhood
    Continous Attack, Alliance War
    See the Unseen, Psijic Order
    Keen Eye: Treasure Chests, Excavation
    Locksmith, Legerdemain

These I find useful for overall questing, wandering, exploring.

It's not necessary for overland, but every recommended endgame build will include the Medicinal Use passive from the alchemy skill line, so you may want to take it while you're leveling the crafting skill lines. Also, Keen Eye: Reagents is very helpful for spotting alchemy plants you'd otherwise miss.
