DK needs some changes

DK as well as the other four original classes have lost a lot of what made them unique. Now a shell of it's former glory, a lot of Mag DK's abilities don't really excel at anything. So why don't we take the ability that is the worst at everything it does and make good at 1 of those things?

I understand that the other 4 base classes are in the boat with many of their abilities and it sucks, but i'm here to get Mag DK back into competitive pvp. So what do we want changed? Simply push the morphs of inhale further into their new effect descriptions.

Deep Breath
  • No longer have a target requirement for activating the ability (no more wasted magic)
  • No longer damage or heal on the initial cast
  • Increase final explosion damage by about 50% (puts the damage right between fissure and blast bones)
  • Reduce cost to 2500-300 magic

Draw Essence
  • No longer have a target requirement for activating the ability (no more wasted magic)
  • Increase initial hit's damage by about 10-20% (this is for more damage for the heal to be calculated from)
  • Reduce cost to 2500-300 magic (the magic return is percent based so no changes in targets required for full return)

Take one morph for healing and sustain, and the other for damage and chance CC. No, we wont get a stamina morph, change in passives or wings back. Best we can do is ask to have this abilities morphs new effects to be pushed further to their descriptions.

    I'd rather have them remove this skill and stonefist completely and create something new. I don't feel like DKs need more burst, this is not a thing. They have strongest dots already coupled with whip. Something something movement (levitation was always part of alteration school *wink-wink*.. but at least source of major exp), and maybe some good AoE spammable with unique debuffs?

    I'm kinda tired of nerfs. Don't even care how op wardens and necros can be. just look at what happened to wings. I just want Mag DK to be something again. Enough with all the nerfs that rob us of any class identity.

    Everyone knows that Inhale is a horrible ability. So lets try to get it buffed in the most reasonable way possible. By further moving each morph of the ability to its new effects description.

    As for your "DK has the best DoTs" claim. Doesn't matter. DK DoTs are done over 14 seconds... We would need 28k damage on the tooltip just to get 1k damage per second if we had 100% pen. DK DoTs are just as bad as every other DoT because ZoS nerfed ALL of the DoTs when some of them became op.

    I do agree that inhale needs to be changed. If ZOS could make it more in line with blastbones or shalks that would give DK the burst ability it needs in this PVP meta. Now I also think that stonefist needs a complete rework. If we’re not going to give stam DK’s a stam whip, they should at least give them a decent stam spammable. Reworking stone fist into something less clunky and gimmicky would be great.

    This "nerf everything" culture has gotten out of hand. It's also really ironic to me. Everybody has been complaining about Wardens and Necromancers because ZOS has been continually nerfing all the base classes patch after patch.

    Instead of making everything less good, maybe let's focus on making everything better. It's healthier for the game as a whole anyways.

    And skipped nerfing warden and necro because it's a paid content :wink:

    Don't mind, but I'd rather had 2 completely different strong skills instead of those 2 crappy ones, and not just number tweaks.
