Nearly unkillable templar healbots that still do dmg. Whats the setup?

Ive seen these almost unkillable magplars/stamplars in BGs with sick amounts of healing. They are running SnB backbar but i really dont know much else about that types of setup. I know some of them were abusing the health regen before blackwood, on top of running stage 3 vamp.

Looking into these builds to find an effective counter.

Are they standing in their rune while block-casting heals?
Remember, rune is a health based heal now so there's 2 heals ticking underneath a templars feet while also using honor the dead for burst heals.

Are they using lots of dodgerolls? If so it may be some setup with Nocturnals Favor. Heard about Templars running it in PvP.

Yeah pretty much that. RIght, Rune is health over time now. Need to keep that in mind.

@HanYolo Nah they are just block healing. Speaking of that nocturnals set though, the healing isnt triggered by normal roll dodging right? Just after an attack is dodged?

Extended ritual + rune + living dark if you have 30k hp and high spell power or weapon damage can be decent healing over time. Apply pressure and make us leave our circles and we die faster

Wait I thought Templars were the class most in need of buffing? Lol

    I have 5 of them.

They are. If you play in high mmr bgs you will find quickly it is mainly wardens, necros and sorcs. There has been an upsurge in nbs lately, too. Dk and templar bottom of the pack

My melee-magblade, MagStamDK, and StamSorc do pretty well in BG's. And my dps is crap because I don't try to follow known combos. I'm more of a trial and error type player. Maybe some builds I do just happen to be good with burst. I know I'm doing something right when I can take down 2-3 players and still live after.

But yeah, I don't have a templar--I've simply encountered them also. My MagBlade tank uses blockheal sets, but that's really just for flag games and PvE. Kinda boring to play in deathmatch since it's just a trolling/delayed-death kinda tactic if you don't have the damage to follow up with it.

    As other's have stated, it's from ritual+living dark+rune.

Add in to that healing from proc sets and it is the result you see.

Since you get so much passive healing, you can then build completely offensively and ignore sustain and defense to a degree.

The trick to defeating them is that you know that magplars have terrible sustain when healing and purging, so run DoTs and poison to run their mag down.

DoTs do make a difference when they are stacked and someone is stacking HoT.

If a DK, use shifting standard+DoTs to keep them defiled
