We Love Single Pauldrons (and want more)

Molag Kena, Engine Guardian, Mercenary, Minotaur, Second Legion, Deadlands Gladiator, and coming soon, Paravant's Letale and Dawn's Avenger.

These are all fantastic. I love armors with single pauldrons. PLEASE continue this trend on future armors. The ones available are good but they're few and are all imperial styles (except engine guardian and other undaunted styles, but they're all ugly minus the two listed here). I'd love to have a few dunmer single pauldrons to make a morrowind-esque outfit and some other pauldrons of other racial styles.

I spend about half my time in-game making outfits and that single-pauldron aesthetic is extremely limited currently, so I, and I think a lot of other outfit enthusiasts, would love more options along this line.

Agreed. Even asymmetrical shoulders would be welcome.

There's Silver Dawn too - though I've only been able to work it in on one of my many characters (it's a pretty specific aesthetic).

I prefer symmetry myself, but to each their own.

Perhaps a toggle on the costume/armor creator.

Hide left pauldron - Hide right pauldron - Show both - Hide both

Show both would duplicate single pauldron sets for symmetry.

I wouldn't mind no pauldrons, and I'm sure a lot of people would as well.

It's also fun to have shoulder pieces like the Windhelm fur thing (if only that were dyeable) that fill the shoulder slot but aren't ridiculous pauldrons. If they're not going to give us hideable shoulders, it'd be cool to get shoulder pieces that were really subtle, like a braided band around one upper arm, that would make it easier to hide them or they could look really cool with certain chest pieces.

Hide left pauldron - Hide right pauldron - Show both - Hide both.

I was originally going to include this in the post but decided not to because it's not necessary for the post, but that's not technically possible just by implementing a switch. The game uses meshes or models for every object in the game, and the pauldrons are one mesh, not two, so they'd have to go back and segment all the pauldrons in the game into separate meshes and then implement the switch. And they're not going to do that. it's not a particularly difficult process to make each pauldron, left and right, its own mesh, but the sheer volume they'd have to do that for is prohibitive. There's like, what, 500 pauldrons in the game between light, medium, heavy, and signature? That'd be a month of work for a feature that is not by any means a top priority.

This would be an awesome feautre. and while they are at it, add a hide belt function aswell.

    I agree

Though I still don't get why we don't have a "hide shoulders" option, or rather a "hide" option at outfit stations for every slot. Many NPCS outfits look better than ours cus they're wearing the same sets as us, but with no shoulders/belt/weird hip pads

    Absolutely agree with this.

Cloud showed us all the way back in 1997!

As long as they introduce "hide shoulders" option I'm fine with anything. Why can't we hide shoulders? Or flaps? Or whatever it is on legs? Took me long time to figure out styles that look decent but there are not enough.

Please just give us a toggle to hide shoulders, and hide left/right shoulder.

We've been requesting it for literal years at this point!

I'm fine with it not being a priority (especially with all the bugs that are currently plaguing the game) It would be a nice QoL upgrade that has been requested pretty much since the start of the outfit system. The same goes with the much requested "Hide hip/crotch/butt flaps" and those are part of the chest mesh. I think that implementing these things (at some point in time) would make a lot of people happy.
