I get threatened on a daily basis

“ you are a scammer”

“I’m reporting you”

“This is a bannable offense”

I won’t go into other explicitives but this is all due to me not offering to buy items in eso at the highest price people see on the first page of thc.

Everyone needs to learn to definition of scamming before they resort to name calling, character bashing, and threats.

Also, the art of trading is just about dead.

Thanks.

    What?

OP is probably spamming WTB mats in zonechat and offering a lower than average price.

But that is not scamming or bannable. There must be more to the story.

Still OP suggested they would be reported, banned and are called a scammer. None of which make any sense in this context, or the guy is dealing with morons.

Not necessarily. People threaten to report other people for non-reportable stuff all the time in this game. If making a false or time-wasting report against someone were treated in the game as it is by law enforcement departments in the real world, it would put a stop to all of the false reporting pretty quickly.

Didn't know trading was an art. Thought it was just buy low and sell high.

I agree what you're doing is definitely not scamming, just taking advantage of unaware beginners or lazy people.

    Ignore them and move on.

I've seen people WTB below market multiple times in zone chat. All that happens is others call them out and announce what the market value is. This is not scamming nor is it bannable, and I've never heard anyone threatening to report them for either.

@xv1_me please give us an example and clarify what is actually happening.

They probably whispered them so you wouldn't know about it.

It makes sense to me. OP is using zone chat to advertise buying items under market value. People are angry because they know the items aren't worth that little. So they whisper him and claim they will report him for scamming. Happens all the time.

Explain "under market value," given the fact that anyone can price anything at whatever price they want.

Remember when I got threatened with a ban because my PVP build "Lagged his game" and that I was exploiting. I actually was a tad bit worried I would get banned because he misunderstood what I was saying, but nothing ever really came of it. As long as you're not breaking ZOS's terms of service there isn't really anything they can threaten you with.

Lol ofc I don’t scam. Scam is taking your gold for crowns and ignoring the person. I offer the most fair prices and just because I don’t wanna pay 50k per wax I’m “getting banned”

Someone asks to buy / offers to sell in chat at Price X.

Some else posts the sales data from TTC/MM.

People react to the 'average' price that was posted as if it were The One True Price™, how dare you try to buy low/sell high 'scam' those who don't know better. /eyeroll

ATT or MM is what most people use. Given any item, the price for it is an average of all sold given a certain time frame. For example, off trait MS inferno Staff values for 60k. You can obviously list it higher but it will take longer to sell or list it lower so it will sell faster. 60k is the sweet spot.

Well no-one should br threatening you. But this is something that happens often if you post some WTB in any zone, specially if the price is even little under the max amount it is in guildstores.

How ever i did also several month back, "spammed" once in most zones. And i got warning about this.
So i think there where several salty people that where reporting my "spamming" and it actually worked.
Yet i see several spams every day about WTS carry's.

But then again maybe those are okay sence most of the people bying those first buy crown's then sell those to get gold to buy that carry and it benefits zo$.

So, some stranger told you a scammer on a video game and your first reaction is to cry about it on the forum?

Out of curiosity, if a stranger on the street called you a scammer, would you go to the police?

People get offended by everything in this game, I don't understand.

You've obviously never played World of Tanks.

If you are a good player in WoT, receiving death threats and cancer wishes is like a compliment, it always makes me laugh.

Sounds like you're ripping people off with prices. Nothing new.

If you can't handle the criticism, maybe don't try with those prices.

I've reported people for things I thought were suspicious. I have no idea what the outcome was because you don't get a follow up, so I don't know if I was wrong or not.

They have the ability to investigate, we don't. Being wrong isn't necessarily malicious.

I also don't bother to tell people I'm doing it. I just do it.

@xv1_me please give us an example and clarify what is actually happening.

    An example is:

“WTB freight wax x8 for 100k pst”

Then ppl spam in zone (never whisper me they want people to see their heroic response):

    “You are a scammer”

(Little do they know my prices are very close to guild store prices minus the guild fee)

Another example is when I say (once in a while)

“Attention everyone, I am currently honoring a time when eso trading was at its best, please cod me freight wax at the price it used to be, 5k/ea” if you wish to show your respect!”

That is the jist and then I get spammed

“You are a piece of ****”
“I’m reporting you for scamming guild”
    “This is a bannable offense.”

In turn I just leave the guild since no one has a sense of humor or respect.

Those are just two examples the second one obviously just tryna get people to smile even tho there are legends that send me free wax.

I’m kinda on edge because one more silly ban and I lost my account for good!

I even got told I was being reported in pvp when I told a girl “I don’t like you stop whispering me”. And I notice lately zos listens to these reports. So every day I’m on edge like should I even talk in this game? Games shouldn’t be like that especially rated M massive multiplayer games where not everyone is a perfect human being with perfect mental health that responds perfectly calm to people instigating and bashing my character as a person. Or making fun of my grandma.

So, you buy it for 12.5k/ea, flip it at 14k/ea, and you make a 4k profit on a stack. Not a crime, yes.
Another example is when I say (once in a while)
“Attention everyone, I am currently honoring a time when eso trading was at its best, please cod me freight wax at the price it used to be, 5k/ea” if you wish to show your respect!”

Now this is a blatant rip off.

Create an alt account for your selling then. Sounds like certainly peeps are trolling you.
