Other people's 'Bastians' have a quest marker above their head

Other people's 'Bastians' have a quest marker above their head very annoying when doing in crowded area because I keep going to click to see if it's a side quest or something then I realise it is someone's Bastian

What is the reason for this? Clicking on him does nothing btw.

when you finally level up your companion to "friendly" from "cordial" then the companion has a quest for you .. once you interact with your companion then the marker goes away ... so yeah its a bug all the other companions have a marker ..

Are you clicking their Bastion or yours? If you see a quest marker over theirs it could mean yours has a quest for you now, too.

My companion is Bastian and the same thing happens with Merri too. All the Merri companions I see in-game have a quest marker over their head.

Maybe complete the quests on your own companions ? or do they continue to appear when you've completed your own companion quests?

With Mirri as my companion, her Rapport is about 74 percent, and I have completed Mirri's two personal quests (so I now have Mirri as a House Guest). I have completed the quests; but I see Quest-Markers over the heads of Bastians.

I have unlocked my own Bastian, but I have not leveled-up Rapport to the point where he can give me his personal quests.

When Mirri and I are out adventuring, we might see half a dozen or more Bastians running around with Quest-Markers over their heads. It's gotta be a bug. It's either a bug, or the Bastian running with those players is signaling me that they'd rather leave their current player and come run Adventures with me? Same issue. I've done Mirri's personal quests, not progressed rapport with Bastian at all, and I keep seeing other people's Bastians with quest markers when I am adventuring with Mirri. Can't confirm whether that happens when I am without a companion.

Yep, just started getting this today. I'm adventuring with Bastion and just did his first companion quest, ever since then everyone's Mirri has a quest marker above their head. It's already driving me mad, I followed a quest marker around a delve for half and hour thinking it was for the daily until I realised it was someone else's Mirri. The guy must have thought I was stalking him...

I've picked up Mirri, but not used her at all yet and I won't have the option to do Bastion's next quest for a while, so I'm hoping this gets fixed.

Reload UI helps but then you get into combat again and markers are back.

Fwiw, I got so annoyed with this that I leveled up Bastian, did his quests.... And still have the markers

I have the same problem, only it's every other player's MIRRI that has the quest markers. I got the first companion quest from Bastian and did it, then I noticed all the Mirris that belonged to other players would ask me if I had a minute, they wanted to talk. O_o I summoned my Mirri and naturally, she didn't want to talk, she is only level 2 and doesn't like me. That's okay, I don't like her either.

Sure hope they fix this bug soon. Going anywhere near a dolman has 50 quest markers from all the Mirris that want to talk to me. Gah!

Does anyone know if the issue 'goes away' when you complete Bastian's 'loyalty missions'?

In my case everything was fine while I only had Mirri unlocked, the only situations when I saw quest markers above 'Other Mirris' ' heads was while during her own 'loyalty missions'.

I have now fully levelled her so I decided to unlock Bastian and start with him and... ta-dah, now all Bastians have quest markers above their heads.

If I would have known that this would happen I would have left him alone until it was fixed... guess I should have paid more attention to these threads.

Same with Mirri... This was from her unique quest, the objective was to talk to her, and if other players are there with their own Mirris, then you get markers for all of them

had to did all quests for BOTH of companions to get rid of that bug :x

It's an annoying bug, and it goes to the extreme that other people's Mirris try to talk to me to get me to help her with a quest I've in fact already done.

I have done 2 Bastian quests and have yet to see the quest marker bug on others' companions. PC/NA

I have finally reached enough rapport for Varanis to get Mirri's first quest. Immediately, every other Mirri has a quest marker.

The markers went away once I finished both companions quests. But it always use to show up markers above other companions heads whenever I finished a dolmen with other people, not in group just doing the dolmen at the same time.

Is not a game breaking bug, it does not render it literally unplayable but it is somewhat irritating.

With or without the quest markers, there's no good reason to see this

- Once completed Mirri's rapport quests (the 2 you get for levelling her), a quest icon appears above EVERY Bastian that is not mine (not having levelled Bastian yet, and having Mirri activated), so I see quest marks moving everywhere, that mark quests I can't take.

No answer, so I levelled Bastian through Mages Guild alongside levelling Mirri, to see if once you complete both their quests the markers disappear. 1 last Bastian quest before I can confirm.

For me it's Mirri with the icon, and it's been going on for days. Hope it gets fixed soon as I have no intention of leveling her anytime soon after getting Bastian to 20.

I see both, but Mirri is the worse as she took far too many lessons with Stuga, telling me all aout the quest!

I think it's because she has a quest for you to do!
