Companion's Perks

I've noticed that while having Mirri active I have not received any form of bonus loot from her passive. My friend has not seen any of Bastion's improved potions either. I am level 20 on Mirri and am getting close to max rapport. My impression was that as long as you have your companion active you get the perk, but I'm not seeing it. Anybody else have these issues? Is your perk working? Is it bugged? Thanks!

Honestly, I don't know. Is there supposed to be some kind of indicator or would you just have an extra piece or two of loot in a chest? She sometimes comments on the chest haul, so maybe that is when you get the extra loot?

Its supposed to be a 30% chance to find: "gold, sellables, or recipes." After an hour of doing maps/picking chests i received the exact same quantity of gold I always get with or without her: 127 gold. Also haven't received any of that extra stuff. That makes me think it's bugged since I've not heard from anyone in my guilds having seen this perk work.

On PTS it was a separate bag, like a heavy sack, that went into your inventory. None of the ones I got on PTS had anything much in them, e.g. about 100gp or a green recipe/design. I haven't received any on live. No idea what the conditions are for getting them.

No extra bag has appeared. Hopefully ZOS gets this fixed, or at least clarifies what's required for it.

Can confirm. Mirri's is a 30% chance to generate a satchel-type box when you open a chest, I've opened quite a few and it hasn't triggered once.

I am fairly sure it's bugged and not working at all. From the notes and general info Mirri just has to be active to trigger the passive.

Relevant from PTS 7.0.0:

By completing meta-achievements associated with each companion, you can unlock a keepsake collectible for each companion which provides the benefits of the non-combat perk even while the companion isn't active.

yeah, I am getting exactly the same stuff from chests when Mirri is around as I did pre-blackwood. My guess is the perk is bugged.

Bastian is the same. I didn't got a single potion, only container from his quest with 3 (!) lvl potions. Someone from guild said that he got ONE potion since chapter start

Was this fixed on PC yet? Getting the same on PlayStation. Played a bit on PTS too so I know how it should work but getting nothing.

This was the only reason I've been levelling Mirri tbh and without it I'm kinda wondering if companions are worth the effort

I have noticed her comments. Other than that I have seen some chests proving more items than I expected. Basically I agree it may be an indicator.

I think the difficult part of figuring out if the 30% chance is working at all is figuring out how to determine when it does work vs when it does not. As for it proving results 30% of the time, that requires a significantly large pool of opening chests.

I have Bastian with me all the time and he's at max rapport with his quests completed, and I haven't gotten any potent (or otherwise noticeably different/improved) potions other than his quest reward. Haven't maxed Mirri yet to test her, but his perk doesn't seem to be working, no.

I've had Bastion out all the time, got his perk, but no I've not seen a single 'special' potion. If it ISN'T bugged then it's an utterly pointless perk, imagine how long it would take to save a stack of special potions...

What exactly is a “special” potion, anyway? More loot from treasure chests, I can understand, if it ever works, but looted potions are trash anyway, compared with crafted potions. How is this much of a perk?

Bastian improves potions looted from enemies with an additional effect: magicka potions gain Major Sorcery, stamina potions gain Major Brutality, and health potions also restore magicka (and provide Major Intellect).

Did one of Mirri's quests today where she asked for a favour. I did receive an envelope from her with 2 treasure maps in it.

for Mirri you get the extra bags once you unlocked the upgrade/memento, but not before (which seems like a bug yeah)

I dont think it works like it is suppose to. On xbox I have gotten nearly 400g from chests with Mirri as comapanion so like 300% more gold instead of 30%. Not complaining at all but its the only thing i've noticed getting with her.

Well I have about 63 treasure maps I saved when heard she can give extra loot. If none of the 63 happen to activate her passive then I'm gonna be a bit upset
