In Greymoor we have 50 Stone Husk to collect in public dungeon (I have only 8 right now) and now in Blackwood we have 2*50 fragments from both dungeons. This is way too much. Do I really have to spend dozens of hours in just one location to farm one thing? WHY? This is not group content, that's not encourage to do anything valuable for community (like playing pvp or making pve group content). With 10 elements it was exhausing enough. WIth 50 I don't even try, because I respect my time and this idea apparently don't. I don't like this direction.

Also new tapestry cloths - there is no quest, no clues, just pieces of cloth looking like random trash (they not even glow indicating that's something special). I asked people in guild and everyone just looking for it with Google. This the worst pieces hunt of any chapters... Instruments were fun, this is just big waste of time.

It's like with every expansion and DLC the devs feel obligated to add a collection quest in.
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

Why would you not want content that takes a long time to complete? If it’s over in a few hours it doesn’t feel like you have accomplished anything. I don’t thinks like that are meant to be done in a day anyways why not do 30 mins a day over the next few weeks?

Agreed. I was just checking out an interactive map of black wood and it mentioned a feather on the southern edge of the map. After a few minutes trying to find the lead, I just happened to catch it as for a split second when the name came up on the screen as my curser happened to catch it.

There is no “feather” on the screen, the object in question seemed really mundane, and no glow.

It’s like a needle in a haystack quest, except without the quest, you don’t know the needle exists, and you don’t know which haystack it’s in anyway.

Just another excuse to down load an addon to fix the developers mistakes.

I'm not one of "day one" guys. I like things that need time and don't mind some grind (it's MMO, I know it and I like it) but this is just too much. Game is so huge, that it don't need to force into doing over and over the same, small location for freaking 50 elements. I hate when I'm forced to repeat too many times one, small location in this huge world. Scarabs parts in Markarth also was annoying and exhausting. So many hours in couple, same corridors.

And feeling of accomplishing something I had when I make vMA for first time. There is just feeling of wasting time.

    Instruments were fun
No, they weren't. And since I never use google, guides etc for such things - I still didn't finish them and have no plans to do it. There no useful track of collected items, no "normal" notes etc. DB list was good the music list is disgusting.
I find the new tapestry is well-made except no any glow or something on it, but I found 2/3 of it yet

Agreed. The clues for the instruments were absolutely garbage and some were in ridiculously hard locations to find. First time I’ve had to use google to finish a zone scavenger hunt.

Also agree that 50 fragments for a collectible I am unlikely to use is poorly designed. 7 uniquefragments felt achievable and reasonable. 50 is why bother territory.

I hear ya, it does seem a bit much.

I stumbled upon a couple tapestry scraps by accident, then got curious and looked it up and decided I had to have it.

What would be nice for multi-piece antiquities, (esp the mythics) would be to get a clue when you find a piece that may help you locate the next piece. So you can actually feel like your hunting for something and not just randomly wandering hoping to trip over it.
The scraps don't give off any audio\visual clues but at least their activate radius seems larger than other objects so a bit easier to find when you're nearby.

In case you don't want to grid search the entire zone for the tapestry look here-->

If it's well done, sure! I enjoyed Summerset's relic collection task because of the riddles I could figure out and the fun little animation when Varanis Arano decided "Look, I know it's probably a bad idea to use this totally cursed item before I hand it back to the Psijics, but what could go wrong?"

    *gets turned into a monkey*

The other collection tasks that come afterward haven't really done it for me. Now, that's a personal opinion. "Some may call this junk. Me, I call it treasure," and all that, definitely applies.

I think its as simple as respecting my time. Summerset, unlike most of the other collection tasks, actually had a little special something to go with each item. The Devs put more thought into it than just "Hmm, where can we put this item so players can maybe spot it without Google." The latter is pretty low effort, and doesn't exactly inspire me to put forth effort in return to find the collection items.

50 is too much, I agree. It's not fun. It should be more like 25-30.

That's around the point, for me, where the grind stops being fun and starts feeling unbearable. YMMV, ofc

That is how I like it first time through a zone. I want to just roam around looking behind every tree and under every rock. Takes me a while but I think it is fun to try and discover everything with no help. I also talk to every NPC I meet that will say something. Later on other characters I don't mind using add-ons that show locations.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

50 is a bit much to chase, and I accidently found some threads just because my cursor scrolled over it. I couldn't even see the actual threads, there is no glow and it looked like another piece of dirt on the ground. Seriously could you have made them glow a bit Zos. I have old eyes.

You can absolutely buy the fragments from guild stores, same as the Stone Husk. I farmed 10 Fragments for the Stone Husk, then bought the remaining 40. You CAN'T buy the completed item, but the individual fragments are fair game.

Agreed, 25 - 30 is acceptable to me as well.

Or if 50 is the "magic number", increase the drop rate.
