The Npc are starting to have better animations and skills

Anyone else notice the myriad of cool anims the enemy NPCs got in BW? The flaming kick, or the aura dremora and the lightning attacks.

This just makes the craving of a new weapon, skill line or just a simple refresh of old animations. What do you guys think?

    Would be great if it would be possible to overhaul NPCs in general. Always weird how base game NPCs still send you flying with D Swing, while the skill doesn't do that anymore since ages. Also the base NPCs are pretty lame by now.

    A lot of the attacks are older, many specifically being introduced in Southern Elsweyr—the backflips/handsprings, the big fire aura, and I think that annoying attack where the NPC goes invulnerable and makes lightning AoEs. There was a flame pounce (kick?) introduced there as well, not sure if it's the same one you're talking about.

    In any case, it's nice to see these cool animations being used still.

    My vampires and necromancers feel this so much. Every time I play my vamp and fight other vampsI get jealous of their animations and think to myself, what were the devs (or who ever was in charge of character animations) thinking.

    Totally, the new necro mobs look so cool and so much better than the skeleton bois we get. I wish they can use them assists to make the actual player look better. Like the dual wield still has the old anim where they stab with the blunt end of the axe.

    I think that it's impossible to find the right balance between the features of NPCs vs PCs. If NPCs look better then players complain why they can't get similar looks. If NPCs look worse people will complain about lazing coding and how poorly done they are. I think the right balance is to have NPCs be slightly inferior aesthetically to players.

    Whenever my vampire necromancer fights another vamp or necromancer NPC I get immensely jealous.

    What ZOS needs to do is add in a 4th skill line to each class that incorporates the use of these new animations that we as players have never been able to use.

    It's seem darn silly to have all of these cool effects for NPCs meanwhile we're still using spells from 2014

    I'm still get triggered by npc (stam)sorc bound sword animations and vfx, they've got a lot of use in a new chapter. Was waiting for this skill for years and we got just a gimmick, which is beyond disappointing.

    @colossalvoids I still hold out hope that we’ll get a bound weapon skill line at some point. It just seems like a no brainer at this point. The first time I was thieving and got caught in Vivic city, this mage wipes out a bound weapon and I was so in awe trying to get a look at it that I didn’t notice a guard killing me. I was like, why do we not have bound weapons for our characters.
