It wasn't a patch maintenance, they said there would be an explanation afterwards, but haven't seen it yet

If there were no fixes done, then there would be no need to post notes afterward.
Since Gina said some "short notes" will follow the unscheduled maintenance, and I'm reeeeally going out on a limb here, I'm gonna say they probably implemented a fix for at least something. A server-side patch is still a patch.

I had no idea that it could happen.
For me the gear disappeared rather than duplicate.
Having 2 purple rings rather than 0 purple rings would have been a nice touch.

I'm hoping to see in the notes that they fixed the block draining stamina bug that is plaguing both PvP and PvE, or the bug affecting many of the 5 pieces sets (they suddenly stop working for no apparent reason). These are gamebreaking bugs.

The only reason I can think of to wait until after the maintenance is to say that they fixed an exploit.

My latency on PC-EU has gone up from a steady 80-100 to 210 -250 in all zones with spikes of +999 in Blackwood, making it unplayable. I mean, I have an account on US server if I want to play in those conditions.....but I don't.
May we know what was involved in today's maintenance, and if we will get a fix for the fix that broke my game?
For whatever little it's worth, just as a point of comparison, I'm hovering in the ~150ms latency area, which is uncommonly good for me. I was having significant issues the last couple days, and so were a few people I talk to in-game; upon asking them how it's going today, they also report that their latency isn't noticeably bad anymore.
Sorry you are not having that experience. High ping suuucks.
