Good Companion Gear Farming Spot

Rulanyil's Fall public dungeon in Greenshade. Hang left at entrance and the first giant room has quick access to 3 bosses and a few packs of mobs. Kill all 3 and wait for respawn. Repeat. If other peeps are around, I kill slower so they can get a shot in.
I use a second account for 2x drop chances because the rate is so bad(thanks Zos). Have gotten 2 purples so far, and more greens than I know what to do with.

Know another good spot?

I'd say any group dungeon will be better overall as there isn't a cooldown on boss drops in group dungeons. Public dungeons may be easier but you're lootlocked by the timer. You could run Spindleclutch 1 with a friend and two companions and get at least double the number of boss drops in the same amount of time.

If you use your double account, you could do this solo basically, though to keep it legit, you'd need to move each account separately up to each boss before killing it. Probably most efficient with 2 real players and 2 companions.

Good insight! I just tested Spindleclutch 1 with my alt and it took a lot longer to kill the bosses. I was in gold training gear at 1k cp. I wouldn't recommend Group Dungeons solo or with an alt account as its not efficient.

At Rulanyil's Fall, though, by the time the bosses respawn the loot lock timer is over. Once in a blue moon a boss may respawn early and then you only get gold, but 95% of the time you get loot everytime!

I've actually had even better luck with dolmen runs; even landed a purple aggressive ring from a dolmen drop the other day!! Usually I get about five or six pieces per hour... but I have only received that ONE purple tho out of many many runs.

Two drops (inferno/waist) from zone npcs -one (chest) zone boss. Guess I'll try a public dungeon -thanks.

I’m not sure that doesn’t fall afoul of the rule against “playing two accounts simultaneously.” Jessica was clear that having two accounts online to trade was fine, but she still said there are ways to violate the ToS with multiple accounts. Using them to get double farming loot could be construed as an exploit.

You're possibly right. And I'm just some random goober on the interwebs, so I can't make any official declarations here, but...

My understanding is the thing that really puts you in violation of the rules is automation and such. You can* privately run dungeons with your own alt accounts, so long as you're not using artificial methods to control them simultaneously somehow.

I can't find it, but I seem to recall a somewhat recent thread here on the forums where a ZOS employee unofficially said it's okay to have your alt account character along with you in PRIVATE (non-matchmade) dungeons since you're not affecting/ruining anyone else's experience. Just so long as you're not using any methods beyond somehow playing with a controller in each hand or something -- they were very clear about NOT allowing controlling separate characters synced up by hardware/software methods.

This is all kind of grey zone, but AFAIK if you're not doing it in the presence of unwilling random players (meaning, DO NOT DO THIS IN THE DUNGEON FINDER QUEUE!!) and you're not using artificial methods to sync up and control multiple characters simultaneously, you should* be in the clear. Or at least, it's enough of a minor infraction that no one will hassle you about it IF you're not being egregious or interfering with other players' experience.


** AGAIN, this is all just unofficial hearsay from just the general interpretation of something I (some random nobody) read on the internet a while back. Use at your own discretion!

Can confirm. Got quite a few (only green/blue so far) from final bosses (NOT chests) at dolmens.

I got a purple glove while in Craglorn from Agganor while doing the daily

Do your guild dailies, fighter, mage, undaunted on as many characters that you have. That will level companions, their skills and net you plenty of bosses to kill.

Public dungeons that provide additional drops are better to farm because you'll make gold on the side. Karnwasten from Summerset is a nice public dungeon with 3 bosses in a triangular position that you can solo farm in near 100% hamster wheel run. By the time you return back to the 3rd boss, it should have respawned. Plus you'll get occasional Big-Eared Ginger drops, which sells for quite a bit of gold in the guild stores.

I also like the new Silent Halls public dungeon from Blackwood. You have the Argonion gardener, the beast-master, and Irenan (Ruinarch) bosses you can clear out in a linear line. You also get rare scaly cloth scraps which sell for quite a crap load of gold in the guild stores right now since people need 50 of them to unlock the new gown.

Didn't get any companion drops in this dungeon at all. lol. But then again, I've never won the lottery.
