After completing a dolmen in the Rift for the Fighters Guild, the chest contained a jewel for my companion, in addition to the one for the player. However, it didn't get into my inventory. We waited for the dolmen to re-open, and did it again, and this time the game tried to make up for its initial meanness by giving me extra.
Several subsequent drops tried to give us those same three rings. We never got any. On the positive side, none of Mirri's armor went missing at any point.
