Companions perks

Did you notice effects of these perks? I leveled Bastian to 8 lvl and Mirri to 10 and never had improved potions or extra loot from chests, everything is same as before. Or perks will start working after you fully lvl companions and/or rapport? I have no idea, really

No idea, there's no way to tell if Mirri gives you extra loot from chests as it would just appear the same way. Extra gold is easy to tell since chests give a static amount regardless of quality, but I haven't paid any attention to that if I did get more than usual.

About extra gold I can surely say that I had same fixed amount as usual. And neither me nor playes from my guilds didnt see these mysterious potions "imporved by Bastian Insight" at guild traders. For claimed 30% chance of these potions it looks very suspicious, I mean do these perks even work?

So far after hours of playing I only got these 4 potions while picking alchemy bottles, never had potent potions from looting enemies. Bastian's perk clearly not working as intended. About Mirri's perk I can say that I never noticed more gold from chests, its always same amount, and I didnt get any treasure items of 40/100/250/1000 worth of gold.

Its clear that companion perks are not working and require fixing

I assumed it’s incorrect wording in patch notes and companion’s perk only works if you have achievement for max level, max rapport, etc.

So far I haven't noticed anything being actually affected by Mirri's perk. Most likely this is just as bugged as so many other things are at the moment. :(

Bastian's perk works but in a bugged way, you have chance to get these imporved potions while looting alchemy bottles that are placed somewhere in overland or dungeons, i.e. its not random chance on looting npcs, its random chance on picking items from fixed spawns, which sucks because of rarity of these places where you can find only few alchemy bottles, and these potions isnt something worthy to farm this way.

I have Mirri 20 lvl 5500 rapport. No difference.

I hope the perks are changed to be something people would actually care about. It sounds like they are not worth the hassle to anyone that is paying attention.

Are these potions new/different items? As in they take an extra slot in your inventory per stack?

That's a let down then. I havent finised rapport grind yet, but I thought once you unlock keepsake collectibles you get the benefit of these perks. Hopefully it will be fixed on monday.

From what I understand the keepsakes should provide the buff without having the companion active. It should always be active when the companion is active.

Yes, that was my thoughts too, but after hundreds of looted chests with Mirri as my companion I noticed no difference in loot, so i assumed the perk only working once you unlock collectible in upgrades. But if it is not the case even then, it's definetly a bug.

Then the wording is also incorrect in the help/tutorial menu under “Companions.” It is very clear there that the perk should be working any time the companion is active, and that earning their companion token makes the perk permanent.

If they changed their intention on this, they need to change the information provided in game as well.

Does anyone know if it's account wide once you earn the keepsake? Or do you have to do the achievements on each and every character?

Problem is still there and planned fix wasnt mentioned in patch notes. Could we hear a word about acknowledgment of bugged companions perks and bugged potent potions which dont give proper effects (it works as basic trash potion) and upcoming fixes?

Companion perks are still bugged after last patch, Bastian's "potent" potions still obtained not via looting mobs but picking alchemy bottles, and these potions work as basic trash potions, no extra buffs. I also went to dig 10+ treasure maps with Mirri while looting some overland chests on the way, no extra loot at all. Does anybody care?

No idea about Bastian, but Mirri has been giving me "Hidden Treasure Bag" items reasonably often since the most recent patch.

I loot improved potions on occasion with Bastian. I only notice it with looting the potions that are laying about on tables or whatnot.

Yes, my bad, after hours of digging and chest looting I got few of these bags, must be very unlucky with this 30% chance because atm it feels like 3%

Yes, not only the source of these potions is different from description (it should drop from npc) but potions itself are bugged and work like regular potions with single effect

The extra loot looks like a bag when you get it. When you open it, it is usually 1 or 2 white vender trash items. I did once get a blue food recipe, so I suppose there is a chance for better loot.

Miri is easy to tell as you get a sack when you loot the chest. Forget what it's called.

Bastions are also easy to tell as his potions are labeled potent or something like that.

Both have been drop frequently since patch & neither are max rapport or level yet.

A couple days ago I got a sack that said it was from Mirri's perk after looting a chest. Only one I've gotten.

I’d say Bastian’s perk needs a slight rework… they (his potent pots) aren’t much better than trash pots to warrant extra inventory and quickslot space and not as good as crafted alchemy pots. I’d have preferred a slight bonus to the players own alchemy or provisioning ability (duration, intensity, random bonus effect etc.).

I got some extra stuff for the first time with mirri yesterday. Never seen anything from Bastian other than the crappy potions that came with his quest.

When you get the achievements and unlock the upgrades, you can get these passives even when your companion is not active. Personally i have been getting extra loot sacks from chests throughout the trials i had been but nothing fancy i got from those extra loot sacks. Most expensive thing i got, was a blue base game furnishing recipe. I only tested this on my main character where i have the achievement though since it might not work as intended on a character who has no achievement earned.

Ok so I am not sure if someone mentioned this in here, there is a lot to read, but in my experience, I did not receive Potent potions or Hidden Treasure Bags until I had the Keepsake for the affecting companion. I have only hear, not witnessed, one person claiming to get the extra or improved items before having the keepsake. I also have a friend who has the keepsake for Bastian and still has yet to get a Potent potion. Definitely something wrong with either the wording or the passive.
