Well, if you go to twitch and click on the ESO drops campaign, there's a link to go to 'a participating live channels' where it lists all the streamers with drops enabled that are currently live. It takes merely seconds to find a stream at any time you want.

Thank you. THIS is the advice I needed. I clicked on multiple links from the streamers page on this very website and none of them were actually giving drops. Doing this allowed me to finally find a channel that is giving me drops credit.

Yeah, this was actually how I found a valid drops-enabled streamer on the first 2 days. Today I just picked a streamer that said "drops" and it was valid, so maybe the streamers who aren't included are no longer saying "drops"? It might be that there was some confusion among them on the first day as to whether or not enabling drops on their end would actually let viewers earn a drop by watching their stream.

I mean... too each their own, if you are not interested.. that's your prerogative. I just mean... its not exactly complicated or time consuming already.

Just saying that they could get ride of the Crate and just give us the Gems. That's all.

they could... but why should they? it seems like plenty of people are not willing to make what little effort they ask us to make, and would rather either just buy crowns or are not interested in crown shop either way. when has zos EVER made things simpler. especially when you try to ask they make something slightly less annoying/grindy to do in game - you have people screaming from the rooftops about how lazy people just want everything handed to them.

How does one know they have viewed long enough to get a drop?

there is a tracker you can see when you click on your account icon to open drop down menu. once it has reached 100% - click on it and it takes you to crate redemption menu. click claim button and voila - its yours.

I'd love to stream for this game, but no one is watching other than for the prize, and it's discouraging to show passion for a product to people who just want to play instead.

There is no return on the investment.

there are people who do genuinely like to watch the streams and even I sometimes am one those people for couple of specific streamers. they are just not always the same people who have drops active, you know? that said ESO generally doesn't seem to attract a lot of people who are into watching live streams.

As Lineleah says, there are people who do watch ESO streamers when there is no drops campaign. The problem is, some ESO streamers tend to have a lot of viewers, but a lot of them tend to have very few viewers. And even the ones who have "a lot" of viewers don't have the kinds of numbers that very popular games might have, so I'm using "a lot" in a relative sense compared to the streamers who gave very few viewers.

It seems like many viewers are more interested in following specific streamers who they enjoy, rather than following games they enjoy. Personally, I tend to follow games I enjoy watching, and will gladly tune into streamers I've never watched before if they're streaming a game I'm interested in watching. And if a streamer who I've been following switches to a different game that I'm not interested in watching, I'll stop tuning into their streams. But some viewers do establish familiarity with specific streamers, and will keep tuning in and chatting with those streamers regardless of what game is being streamed.

If you want to try your hand at streaming and are concerned about acquiring and keeping viewers, the important thing is to have something to offer, either in connection with the game(s) you're streaming, such as instructional tips, or find a way to encourage your viewers to delurk so you can engage with them and establish familiarity.
