Antiquities skills without Greymoor access question?

Dear Gina, Dear Jessica, Sehr geehrter Kai Schober,
@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_KaiSchober

Could you, please, please, deign to provide me with a firsthand answer what happens with Antiquities skills obtained during ESO+ after subscription expires, as Greymoor now is a DLC?

is that one of the outcomes:
- Skills persist (like Psijic Order line got from Summerset): allowing players to continue scrying and excavating after losing access to the Greymoor DLC
- Skills restricted (like Jewelry Crafting line got from Summerset): players can not scry and excavate after losing access to the Greymoor DLC
- some other variant?

also if (as I strongly hope) the skills persist, would they continue to progress with scrying+excavating (if not maxed out during ESO+ period) with no longer Greymoor access?

Thanks in advance.

    If you have never purchased Greymoor as a Chapter nor DLC, then you keep the skill lines and levels when ESO+ expires, but you are not able to Scry nor Excavate leads any longer.

    Does this mean someone who acquired jewelry crafting keeps the skill lines and levels if they gained access via ESO+ but will not able to craft jewelry once their subscription ends?

    @Malkiv thank you very much for your kind help.

    @Amottica, basically there are two different schemes in ESO:
    if you got Psijic Order skill line it continues working after subscription expires and you don't own Summerset, so you can see and loot Psijic Portals and use Psijic skills. Same goes for Thieves Guild - you can loot Thieves Troves, and Dark Brotherhood - you can use Blade of Woe.
    Jewelry Crafting follows completely different pattern: after losing access to the Summerset the jewelry crafting stations become inaccessible (you can still do JC dailies if you bothered to pre-craft loads of jewelry during, let's say, ESO+ free trial).
    So, yes, you cannot JC without persistent access to Summerset either via ESO+ or with buying DLC.

    I normally post a brief guide at Reddit when ESO+ trial happens, but i can not verify what happens with Antiquities (if levelled up during the trial) after event ends (this could be "opened" model like Psijic/TG/DB, or "restricted" like JC), as i already have Greymoor purchased on both my accounts.
    ESO+ free trial was postponed in May due to issues, now situation differs as Greymoor would become accessible during the event in question so i am to add the GM section, and, for this purpose i want to know for sure what happens with Scrying/Excavation after DLC access is terminated.

    If you level scrying during an eso+ free event and collect a few mythics, I'm guessing you could reconstruct them still even after it finishes? I don't know how collections normally work with it but I'd think once you've got something, you've got it

    @lillybit Right. Reconstruction works fine as this is not bound to DLC ownership. You can reconstruct the gear you have collected in the DLC zones during ESO+ free trials.

    With JC it makes a good sense to research JC traits like infused, bloodthirsty and swift using the occasion to access JC stations as later on you can reconstruct jewelry in the said traits, but not to craft it (as Transmute stations are accessible (in guildhalls, friends houses or you can purchase your own one), but JC station access depends on access to Summerset DLC).

    @DinoZavr for the explanation.

    I will say it seems odd that some of these functions added with a chapter permit a former sub (that does not own the chapter) to interact with physical aspects related to the skill line yet other functions do not allow interaction with physical aspects of the line.

    What would be interesting to know is when using the transmutation system can one change a jewelry trait or recreate a ring if they no longer have access to the system via ESO+ and do not own the chapter. I cannot test since I seem to have access to all chapters since my purchase of the game was via this new chapter.

    I would suggest that the "content" DLCs are the ones most worth spending crowns on, or even real money, if you don't want to pay for a subscription. Wait for a time when crowns are on a cheap Steam sale, buy some crowns and save them up until the desired DLC is on a cheap sale in-game, then buy that... it's a far better spend of crowns than spending them on a single expensive house which costs, often, about as much as three or four content-DLCs put together, or sometimes more even than that...
