There will be more Companions in future DLC, but you're just getting these two Tomatoes for Blackwood.

No word on additional companions, but it can be expected that they will eventually make it into the Crown Store as additional purchases. They will probably be treated a very similar to how they did house guests, but cost more.So we have to keep paying for the future companions?! WHAT

No one knows, maybe one will be a daily reward, or buyable with endeavours, or part of an event. But most likely you'll have to buy them in some way, yeah, whether directly or as part of the next DLC.B0SSzombie wrote: »Companions are a bonus, not the focus. So are we getting more companions included with our $40 or no?
Can you link me to their livestream/videos where they talk about their plan with the future companions and how they are going to monetize it
How do you not know how DLC works by now judging by the date you made your account? Just curious.
No, of course not. No one should ever have to pay for new content. No one in the company ever wants paid for their work.
You know, you could try WoW.
Problem with that is you have to sub.
Once you do you get all the base game content and expansions up to the newest stuff. However if you want the newest stuff, you have to :gasp: pay for it, in addition to your sub.

Worse, then an new expansion drop max level increases and endgame moves to the next expansion who you can not touch unless you have it.No, of course not. No one should ever have to pay for new content. No one in the company ever wants paid for their work.

Want to reiterate, on what I just posted.. making sure you understand...
Have you ever played any Bethesda game? More expansions will bring more companions/followers. Until then, you'll have to wait to hear from future livestreams and updates.

Lol the cost of this chapter isn't even justified with companions as the marketed main selling point. This is the first chapter I had no problem skipping until it goes on sale later this summer, and Oblivion is my all-time favorite game.

You buy blackwood, you get access to companions... I'm sure youll get more companions with future updates. But if you're freaking out about paying to keep getting companions... look at any other bethesda game: every fallout game... every elder scrolls game.. when you buy the expansions you get access to more followers.
Now Naryu or Razum-Dar will be problematic as Raz show up a lot not only in the AD quests but also, gold coast, Summerset and he has an quest in Northern Elsweyr. Naryu also on gold coast and Morrowind.Zachary_Shadow wrote: »You won't have to pay for the future companions exactly, as the companion system comes with Blackwood. Like Antiquities with Greymoor, new antiquities will be added into the game with every DLC/Chapter. You don't have to pay for those antiquities necessarily, but more than likely, a lot of the new antiquities will be in the new zone added; therefore, you aren't paying for the antiquities, most likely, but more the new system/zone/story/class/etc. What will likely happen is ZOS will add new companions in the future, where some companions will be in those new zones, be crown store exclusives (I see them doing this with companions that are in the actual story already, such as Naryu), or be in existing zones as a way to incentivize people going back to those zones. So you don't have to pay for them only necessarily, besides those that will be crown store exclusives (and even then, that's only a possibility as that brings up which companion will be stronger and can lead to pay to win arguments).
I'm truly excited to see what new companions we get and to see if we will get any companions that are already in the main stories/side quests, such as Razum-Dar. The new features that they've talked about, such as romance features, will add a lot of new roleplaying opportunities in the game and breathe more Elder Scrolls into it.
