ESO has a new intro cinematic that brings things back to the core base game experience, while still eluding that there are other dangers threatening Tamriel

I have to say that this is a pretty great intro, it shows the stakes, the Three Banner War, and shows off the world you are going to be exploring - I think in some ways it is actually better than the original intro (which was the best one out of all of the "Chapter" intros imo)
As a slight criticism though, I wish the overland gameplay was as exciting as this intro made it look.
- Daedra hordes pouring out of the anchors and roaming the lands - even attacking cities!
- Daedric Titans flying around
- Dangerous Bosses that wander the open world zones
And other stuff like how;
- Enemies were attacking in actual groups larger than just three (and god forbid encouraging players to work together in an MMO outside of required group content)
- Large Battles with NPCs that were actually fighting each other and seeking out combat
- Bugs actually flying around the forest (nice little details & touches)
This intro made ESO look way more sandbox than it currently is right now and I hope they can achieve that in the gameplay - also fighting an enemy army/hordes sounds like a REALLY awesome game activity.
But what about you - what do you think about this new intro?

I honestly think this was an OLD intro, it has nothing to do with Blackwood that I can tell... I'm not sure why they haven't put a Blackwood specific cinematic up instead of this base game one.
This one seem to focus on the three banners war, which was the original base game premise... but now the game has grown, so why bring back the original focus I'm not sure.

👀 Insightfuls please

The Chapter Trailer cinematics have so far never been in the game - so I was not expecting that to be the case now
What's more important in the new player experience and I am glad that ZOS chose to prioritize that in order to make a better experience for players getting into the game AND as a personal note I prefer to play the story content in order - so giving me a Base Game intro (while still giving others the option to go to the chapters) is a good compromise so far.

No I think it was bug what we actually saw. I do like original one but as people pointed out it's truly the old one

This is something I've wanted from the start. The MMO Rift has Invasions and I would love if it was possible to have this in ESO (would be similar to your first point)- Daedra hordes pouring out of the anchors and roaming the lands - even attacking cities!
- Daedric Titans flying around
- Dangerous Bosses that wander the open world zones

I really like how they go over the "base" of the story. It explains what is going on at the core and makes you curious about all the other things going on in Tamriel.
I understand what you are saying about fighting bigger groups etc. And yes for some players this can be interesting for me not so much. I love to play solo through Tamriel. When I want to do things in a group I can choose to do that.
And I never do it randomly because of random groups being so toxic.
The not understanding that you can have a high amount of cp by just muddling on on your own. And god forbid if your not so good at group play or your setup is not strong enough and worst of all you do not know the mechanics. Because explaining them is such a waist of your time.
So yeah parts of me want to say yes to what you suggest with more group play in the way you describe but just not with the amount of toxic players around.
I would like the overland enemies to be a little bit more challenging. Especially now we can have a companion that would make sense to me to turn the heat up a little bit.
Also I watched some other trailers of the chapter and WOOOW!!
The big red deadra satan whatever. Mehrunes dagon
He is fantastic, so scary. If they talk about hel and brimstone etc this is what you think the guy in charge looks like.
I can't get enough of the videos.
