Companions guild skill lines

Just wanted to check something regarding the companions guild skill line progress, I was under the impression you just had to do one of each daily quest eg, fighters guild, mages, undaunted and the companion you did those with would then match your characters level in those skill lines.

Was I mistaken and it just unlocks the skill lines or has it bugged out on me, since its only showing level 1 of each guild skill line.

Guild skill lines increase through completing specific solo daily quests associated with the guild, for the active companion.

i guess you are under the wrong impression?
now what i have to say is: after doing the daily for each guild once my companions had lvl 1 3/4. But i dont know if that 3/4 came from killing mobs in Mazzatun or if it was because of the daily i did. because to me it clearly states that they only gain skill line XP from doing dailys.

Did you have a scroll active. I did the dailies once today and last I checked all guild skill lines are 50/100

If it holds like pts you need to do 2 quests per guild to go up a level in the guild line. so 60 quests to max them out. If you have alts they can also do the dailies and it will help boost them.

Well, if you have several alts, you can run the guild quests on each of your characters. That's what I did yesterday... I acquired the companions on four of my alts and ran each of them through all three guild quests. I have six more alts I need to acquire the companions on today, so I can run them through again. Funny because many of these alts I have not played in years, and had removed all their gear. So I had to go back and re-equip gear and now will have to re-learn their class just so I can do these daily guild quests. But if you think this is bad, just wait to see how long it takes to get higher level gear for them... months or lots and lots of $$ to buy them from guild traders. :#

A companion's guild skill trees will not match the player's guild skill tree, they must be developed for the companion. To acquire the guild skill trees for your companion, complete the guild daily quest for that guild, and have your companion with you when you hand in the quest. The bar at the top of the guild skill tree shows a total score of 100 to get to the next level. Thankfully, you get 50 points per daily, so you advance one level for every two dailies.

I unlocked Mirri on 10 characters, who were holding the guild quests from before Update 30 went "live." These 10 characters then did the 3 guild dailies yesterday. So Mirri is now at level 10.5 on Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, and Undaunted. The last guild Passive Ability unlocks at level 10, so I don't know whey anyone would continue to level-up the guild skill trees above level 10. (Anyone know???)

Oh, I forgot to mention: Thankfully, the companion has the same level in guild skill trees account-wide. Meaning, one does not need to level-up the companion's guild skill trees for each of one's characters.

No... only doing solo daily quests and turning them in with the companion summoned do they gain XP for that skill line. Same with Figher's Guild and Undaunted.

it just unlocks the skill line. Fortunately though progress through the skill lines is account wide and has no daily limit.

Since you progress the skill lines through the undaunted, fighters and mages guild dailies, you can repeat those dailies on your alts, and if they have the companion unlocked it will raise the skill line on the companion.

So if you happen to have 18 alts and are kind of immune to bore out, it is possible to raise the companion guild skill lines by 9 levels per day.

I've decided to not even bother leveling the Mages or Fighters guilds past level six... their final skill is nothing I would ever use anyway. Undaunted I'll take to ten for their bone shield... besides... the Undaunted dailies are super easy delves quests. Mages guild aren't SO bad because they're public dungeons, but the Fighters guild is a PAIN. Having to run all three dolmens in a zone may sound easy... but if you have characters who haven't unlocked wayshrines in the zone yet, or arrive at a dolmen just as it's finishing... super frustrating.

I just park the char at a dolmen, watch tv, do some phone calls... while waiting for the respawn... It's not like doing a dolmen takes a lot of attention away from watching tv :)
Dolmen hopping otoh is really frustrating business.

If I complete a guild daily with one companion summoned, will the other companion also get progress or do I need to level up their skill lines one at a time?

Only the active companion get the credit when the quest is turned in.

The one that is actively with you is the only one that gets credit. You can do up to 15 a day on a single character by sharing the quests and completing them, or do 1-2 each on 18 characters can fill out all 3 skill lines for one companion in a single day.
