The Case Of The False One Tamriel

Although alliance borders were lowered and there was freedom to be had, one problem remains. Whenever players want to build his or her new character such person's are either locks into specific alliances or otherwise dependent on the "any race, any alliance bundle". In my humble opinion I suspect without the need for this pay to play feature in order to have full racial and alliance related freedoms, the game would be far better off. Particularly, whomever seeks to play PvP content wouldn't be locked into certain alliance due to a certain build preference if he or she is unable or unwilling to purchase the "any race, any alliance bundle." In truth the alliance groups on PvP are horribly unbalanced. It's my distant hope that something, if not the full unlocking of race choices in character select, can help fix the atrocity of the Zerg. Respectfully I know it's been a problem for a while and even this suggestion may not do anything. Too many players just love to 1vx for easy kills and playing in such a way as the loner seems to have quite the learning curve. Or perhaps I'm simply not as good as I'd like to think 🤔

Just some thoughts from a friendly neighborhood Black Cat. Cheers

Personally, I think that "Any race, any alliance" should be a free automatic unlock for anyone who has completed Cadwell's Gold on one character.

Yes, it would require you to work for it, but you'd only need to earn it once.

Although it might make sense, such "bonus" isn't what Cadwell's Silver/Gold mean.

Those questlines, if we can call them as such, is to allow us to see the world if we had been born in a different place, "ruled by different politics", pretty much like those B-movies' stories in which one's granted the sight of viewing their lives if they didn't exist.

That only reinforces my opinion that Sir Cadwell is powerful "af" and just pretends to be a crazy old fella

One Tamriel didn't do away with the Alliances or change their racial makeup. Instead, it allowed players to group cross-alliance and do most quests in any order you please.

If you want to be the exception to the rule - a Khajiit fighting for the Covenant, a Dunmer fighting for the Dominion - then you pay for the Any Race, Any Alliance pack. We can argue that ZOS should make it free, but that has nothing to do with "One Tamriel." And honestly, I'm not sure ZOS should make it free - this seems to me like begging ZOS for free stuff.

And no, it won't do anything to stop zerging. Cyrodiil is designed to funnel large numbers if players to the most important objective on the map at the moment, be it a contested keep, a scroll run, or the last Emperor keep. Zerging is by design...if only Cyrodiil could still handle the large scale combat its designed for.
