What is maximum level on a Companion's three guild skill trees?

My new companion MIrri has leveled-up the three guild skill trees (Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, & Undaunted) to level 10. There are no more Passive abilities to be obtained after level 10 on each tree. Does it keep leveling up, or is 10 the highest level. The level bar currently shows 10 with 0/100 on the bar (which suggests it's going to level-up more). But since there are no more active or passive abilities to be obtained, what's the benefit of more level?

90% sure it was 20 for FG & MG on the PTS for the maxed out templates. Can't swear to any others, but I wanna say they maxed at 10.

Wow, I was as wrong as it gets! lol

On the PTS, with a maxed Companion (using the booster item which template characters are given) all skill lines EXCEPT Fighters, Mages, and Undaunted go to 20! Those three only go to 11.

So the Weapons, Armor, and Class lines go to 20. FG, MG, & Und go to 11. (And the Racial skill is always at 1 and currently does not level up / progress in any way.)

So not only was I remembering wrong, but my guess was like the super opposite of right! :D
    My bad, y'all!

Now assuming it's the same as on the PTS, these numbers should be accurate for what's in the real update on Live servers now. I'm not aware of any changes made to Companions skill lines' max levels, so it should all be right now.
    "Should" :P

GreenHere gave the correct answer. Thanks. I should have thought to look at a "Template" character on the test server (PTS). When I test on the PTS, I always use my North American or EU characters, and never use a Template character. But that would have answered my original question.

Question: What is maximum level on a Companion's three guild skill trees (Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, and Undaunted)?

Answer: 11. I verified this today on with my new Companion Mirri. Mirri got to level 10.5 on the three guild trees yesterday. With the first round of guild "dailies" today, the progress bars for each of the three guild skill trees top-out at 11, showing 100/100. If the next level were 12, it would have shown level 12 with 0/100 on the progress bar.

Thanks GreenHere for responding, and reminding me of Template characters.

Since no one has answered yet, I unlocked Mirri on another character and completed the guild dailies. Mirri's guild levels (Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, & Undaunted) leveled-up beyond level 10. It was just one set of dailies, so it leveled to 10.5. So, that answers that question: Level 10 is not the highest level on the guild trees.

I still would like to know maximum levels on the guild trees. I would also like to know if there is any benefit to leveling beyond level 10, as the last Passive ability unlocks at level 10, and there are no more abilities after that.

How did you level those so quickly? I did the Fighters Guild daily yesterday and today, got one FG level out of it... were you grinding these with 10 characters?

Once you unlock a Companion's Guild line, it should scale to your own. So if your Fighter's Guild line is at 10, Mirri's will also be there when she gains access to the line.

I guess that's not how it works now. I saw people on PTS say it did, and even Alcast's site has it listed like that.

Nope. That's not how it works. Companion guild skill trees do not scale to the player's character. For both Mirri and Bastion, one must level-up the companion's guild skill trees (fighters guild, mages guild, undaunted) by completing the guild daily quests. You won't even see the guild skill trees until you turn-in a daily quest for the first time, with your companion by your side.

One needs to complete 2 daily guild quests to advance one level (each level is 100 points, and you get 50 points per daily). Now the good news: The companion's guild skill trees are account-wide. So all 18 of your characters can run the guild dailies and advance the companion's guild skill tree levels. Of course, each character must unlock each companion separately to be able to group with the companion, and your character must be grouped with the companion when you turn-in the daily guild quest to get credit.

Thank you. I'm not sure this happened (and I did get Mirri and completed the FG quests on a fully maxed character, all Guilds at 10), I know she did not unlock the first FG skill until today. I will check back when I get home.

It is odd though, since companions' skills are the same level across different characters we may have, that they would unlock at different levels depending on the guild level of the character we happen to use them first on.

I unlocked the companion (Mirri) on 10 characters. These 10 characters had completed the guild daily quests from a previous day, but had not yet handed them it. So, after Update 30 went live, we turned in the daily guild quests with Mirri, and got credit for the her guild skill trees. Then all 10 characters went back out adventuring, and completed the daily guild quests for the current day. Handed-in quests with Mirri, and advanced the guild skill trees some more.

Companion guild skill trees do not scale to a player's character. That is, if your character is level 10 on mages guild, fighters guild, and/or undaunted, your companion will NOT have those skill levels on the companion's skill trees. First, you must first unlock the companion: one must complete the initial companion quest for each of one's (up to) 18 characters. Next, one must obtain the guild skill trees by completing the first set of guild daily quests with the companion. (Companion must be deployed when you turn-in the daily quest.) Lastly, to level up the guild skill trees, one's characters complete more daily guild quests. The level bar at the top of the guild skill tree shows 0 to 100, but one gets 50 points for each daily. Therefore, you advance 1 level for each 2 guild dailies you turn-in, if the companion is deployed. Make sure the companion is active, because sometimes I have had my companion go away.

Thank you! I imagined something like this, and I admire your dedication - that is a lot of dolmens! Especially because you had to go and grab the companion on 10 characters and did so in very few hours, the expansion has been out only a day.

Yup, this makes sense, and I verified as much. @B0SSzombie a few comments up may have had his/her info wrong, maybe it was true in the PTS but not Live.

Gosh, why didn’t I think of that?? I do that for Midyear Mayhem…I’ve just been piddling around in the game for a week while anxiously awaiting for Blackwood. I could have been doing that! 🤦🏼‍♂️

I wish I would have thought to do something like that :star:
I am going to try and do all the companion starter quests today on all my alts. Then work on guild quests.
This should stupid boring, but it has to be done.

But... does it, though? If simply unlocking them is all that needs to be done on a character, but their progress is shared account-wide, is there any particular benefit to grinding through unlocking them for all your characters at once? Seems like just getting them if/when you need them on one of your characters would be okay since they instantly come up to their shared level, wouldn't it?

Is there some benefit to having them all unlocked at once that I'm missing? Or is it just a matter of not wanting to ever have to worry about it later?

Well, it depends. Do you want the Companions to be leveled in a shorter amount of time, or wait a month or two? Because if you have companions unlocked on all your characters... then every character can run the daily guild quests and help level up the Companion's skill lines. It takes TWO quests per guild to move one level... so that's 20 quests per guild and there is three guilds. So if I ran them daily on each of my 10 characters, I could have them fully leveled in six days. But personally, once I run them four or five times in a row, I'm spent.

Actually, 10 characters doing dailies would take only two days to level-up the Companion's guild skill trees. As you stated, two dailies per level . . . level 1 to level 11 . . . 20 dailies.
