**Solved - Steam - Blackwood still not unlocked, says approx 3 hours

**Editing OP to mark as solved, hope anyone else same issue on steam will have it work with step I did below

1-the game still locked out issue seems to be a Steam issue, because Steam store had Blackwood locked -for me at least- until ~8am PST, then finally the store updated from approx 2 hrs to unlock to 'now available'

2- Blackwood content not unlocking in-game for me after that seems to be due to not using Steam client to launch game at least one time after the above unlock was lifted. I normally login via direct eso64.exe and just type in my login credentials. But after viewing my 'in library' confirmation in steam client for 10th time since this problem started, I noticed the 'Play' button now available (after the above steam store unlock from pre-order to 'now available'

So I launched game that way and immediately got the Blackwood cinematic trailer, and once in game everything was solved. Got the in-game mail with both my pre-order and launch day bonus items, the map shrine for Blackwood now shows as unlock and available to travel, etc.

So if have this same problem and on steam, try logging in via the steam client play button and not direct login.
********

ESO client updated the new patch files, and my steam library shows Blackwood owned and installed under owned content/DLC in properties menu.

But in-game I get the upgrade to Blackwood notification and Blackwood map shrine shows as not owned/unlocked. So went to Steam store to check and it verifies I own Blackwood and is tagged as "In Library" but the desc still says Coming June 1 - with "This game will unlock in approximately 3 hours"

Are the ppl currently playing Blackwood doing so via direct purchase from ESO website I assume?

Bought Blackwood from the ESO website.
    Billing History shows it too.
    Game has been updated.
    Still can't go to Blackwood.
Game says I need to update.
    UTC+2 timezone.

    Please someone explain.

I have the same issue, bought almost two days ago the Blackwood Collector's edition upgrade directly on ESO store website, everything worked fine (apparently) and on the billing history of my account I can see I own the new content.
In game is completely different and right now I can't teleport to Blackwood (wayshrine appears black).

I opened a ticket and have some response from the customer team and they are very helpful and kind indeed.

At the moment I hope to receive access to the new content as soon as possible, but of course I feel a bit disappointed and worried about this issue.

Steam store now says unlocks in approx 2 hours, so from my steam perspective it seems locked until ~9am PST.

Which is bizarre since poster above said they have steam as well and already unlocked.

Was going to cancel on steam and just try buying directly from ESO website but seems from multiple ppl above that content is still locked for them as well even buying direct from ESO website.

@ZOS_GinaBruno - this seems to be issue affecting multiple ppl, both steam and direct ESO website purchased.

note - the only help customer service has given me is non-helpful things like a) logout and log back in - does nothing btw, or b) tells me to wait 72 hours for payment to fully process when I've told them and provided as requested the emali screenshot from Steam saying payment successfully made. (and also verified by my bank - purchase was paid and processed 2 days ago

Did you try updating / changing your computer clock ? Could it be something as simple as just changing your clock time as this is reported on the international clock site " North America: PST is currently not observed because locations are on summer time / daylight saving time and are observing PDT. If no luck put in a ticket with zos I wish you luck with it.

Thanks for the tip, but so far nothing works. And ZOS customer service has been entirely useless. My tickets are answered, but that is about it.

Their advice thus far has been to logout and back in, and wait 72 hrs for payment to process - despite sending them as they themselves requested my proof of purchase receipt from Steam, my in-library screenshot showing content owned from steam, and my online bank confirmation showing payment was processed and deducted from my account days ago.

I was about to try paying double, and buy direct from ESO website as well but seems this problem exists there as well, not just steam.

I have it unlocked as well on Steam. The only thing I can think of is that it might something to do with the time zone. I'm in the EDT time zone, so it's currently 10:19 AM for me.

I think everyone who bought Blackwood during the weekend (when they were having issues - see dev tracker) is affected.

Marking thread as solved and edited title and OP with additional info.

Hoping mods keep thread up for awhile because it may help players who just couldn't get steam version of blackwood to unlock.

The issue still persist (I'm not play ESO via Steam but directly from ESO launcher) and I'm waiting for a response to my ticket.

But did you buy it through Steam?

If so, try launching ESO through Steam to see if it shows up as enabled.

If it does, close the game, close Steam, and start the game how you normally prefer to and see if it's still enabled.

If you didn't buy it through Steam, I dunno.

For those having wayshrine issues, can you "travel to player" and get there?

Now everything is ok and I can play the new chapter!
Exactly 48 hours after the purchase as the support team told me...

Hope the same for the other players :)
