Polar Wind: 8800 + 1000*5 = 13800

Same char swapping to medium armor and two handed
Vigor: 18300

Happy now?


note: I could increase my heath to improve Polar Wind but then my group would not have all the nice buffs I'm giving them.

Similar on Magnightblade in PVE, Vigor is much better than dark cloak. To fix this they nerfed dark cloak

In PvE tbh i have no idea as i barely play any form of at least Endgame PvE

But in PvP in my opinion at the moment any Warden nerf is welcome and the Arctic spam is absolutely annoying, so a nerf to that, at least in PvP was definitely needeed.

What happens if you count both?

You are still tankier in heavy due to more armor and passives for incoming heal.

So when you say you slot 2H and medium armor, what sets are you using? Because most tanks run group based sets (hence you saying "my group would not have all the nice buffs I'm giving them") you are gimping your own abilities. In pvp that doesn't happen outside ball groups. As the others said, how about both? But you need more group based abilities and so are purposefully lowering your own skills. If you are going solo sets in medium vs group sets in heavy, yes polar wind is worse when you are wearing worse gear. When you are in your tank setup what does the tooltip look like for vigor?

did you literally just post a tooltip number after you admitted to changing gear to make the tooltip better?

even using your numbers:

*most stam classes, Vigor : 18300

*warden, Vigor and polar wind : 32100 (also heals allies and damages enemies, or stuns, etc.)

I've changed gear to show what the two skills are able to do. I thougth this was clear enough.
Many Warden tanks don't use Vigor, need my stamina to block and other things.
Polar wind was great as an emergency heal, now not so much.

You know vigor is a heal over time skill right? Wind skill is instant heal + heal over time and mostly used as spammable heal in PvP.

Polar is part instant and part over time.
With those numbers at about 2secs Vigor surpass polar.

Then why compare to vigor+2h, if you won't tank in that setup anyway?

How much dmg do you need to sacrifice to get that 14k polar wind, but with your 18k vigor, you hit like a truck. Polar wind was already balanced when they gave everyone 1k free dmg, now it doesn't compare with any of the other burst heal unless you have 55k+ hp and no dmg.
Meanwhile artic blast was doing too much, and still do too much.

You can make the argument that every heal is inferior to one other heal if you aren't building for it. What's the point here?
