Easy beginners Temp stam build - HELP

Hi,

Im 3-4 weeks into my first character in ESO, Cp around 250 I believe, Dark Elf, Templar stamina. I switched severals time from builds but never found a stable one, knowing for sure if I did some great damage. I use now 2H and bow.

Any easy builds suggestions for me? Should I keep the 2H and bow, or switch to daggers duel wield orsomething? I don't know what to do some times lol. Especially the rotations or sometimes hard to follow.

Stamina templar has one of the easiest rotations in the game with very decent dps.

You basically want to cast Endless Hail and Ritual of Retribution from the back bar. From the front bar you cast Barbed Trap, Power of the Light (if you have no source of minor breach) and weave Biting Jabs. Once Endless Hail run out recast the both back bar dots and swap back to the front bar, recast Barbed Trap and Power of the Light when they end.

My skill bars generally look like this:
    DW (front bar)
    1. Barbed Trap
    2. Power of the Light
    3. Biting Jabs
    4. Hircine's Rage (passive major brutality buff +20% weapon damage)
    5. Camouflaged Hunter (passive major savagery buff +2629 weapon crit)
    Ult. Flawless Dawnbreaker

    Bow (back bar)
    1. Endless Hail
    2. Ritual of Retribution
    3. Resolving Vigor
    4. Hircine's Rage (for passive major brutality buff +20% weapon damage)
    5. Camouflaged Hunter (passive major savagery buff +2629 weapon crit)
    Ult. Shooting Star

If you're not a werewolf you can slot other Fights Guild skills or something like Repentance for sustain.

DW/bow offers a little higher dps but 2H/bow also work fine for most content.

For gear focus on sets that give weapon crit and weapon damage, later you can worry about trail sets like Relequen.
The Lover is probably the best mundus stone option, second would be the Thief.

No need to be werewolf. Just use the weapon skill Rally, for major Brutality, minor Endurance and a burst heal in one ability, on the frontbar and rune on the backbar.

Obvious sets are Hundings Rage, Briarheart and Leviathan. If you are not doing vet Trials, you need nothing else.

And Lover mundus is only for SOLO, go Thief if you do group content too. Do not look back.

Edit: Almost forgot to drop the hammer: Weaving is the key to DPS. Without it your damage will be bad, even in META gear!

If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

Wow thanks for the fast reply, Septimus_Magna. I use 2H at the moment, but I think I will change to duel wield. (have to train it all the way from 1 but thats ok). Is your build somewhere readable as a guide? Or is there a guide which looks like that so I can follow it?

For stamplar in PvE there are few options depending on which weapon you choose as primary…
I am running two builds, first one is pure crit build with leviathan + tzogvin + slimecraw helm + pale orde(if solo), bow/bow build with frontbar jabs, arrow spray, repentance, silver shard, camohunter, ulti flawless dawnbreaker. On backbar endless hail, ritual of retrib, razor caltrops, camo hunter, vigor, ulti empowering sweeps…
All fighters guild abilities are for pasive weapon bonus, you do not have to use them… Also you can slot hircine instead of arrow spray to get major brutality…
Bow gives you crit bonuses and rotation is easy as hell :
backar : endles hail - caltrops (if soloing for major breach) - ritual, swap to front and 8 x sweeps /arrow spray for trash on longer range…

second build with tzogvin/leviathan and deadly strike with dualwield… just swap arrow spray for whirling blades and use jabs as often as it goes, because you have 20 % bonus for channeled abilities :)

There is also option for yoy to combine leviathan + tzogvin/briarheart/hundings with two handed battle axe on frontbar using rally for major brutality and some heals…

I would recommend running tzogvin for the set bonuses and combine with slimecraw (crit bonus) and some other set with at least two crit chance bonuses to get the crit above 60%… Then your jabs will hit 80K with endless hail (weapon dmg enchant) and you have the two button build :)
