BG matchmaking - Let Characters have a BG Skill Score, and use that to form matches.
Is there even a system behind which players get thrown together in a battleground?
It seems so unruly. I am a total PvP noob. I group with three others who are pretty much the same, or even "noober." I find myself in a BG with one team that has 20 zillion kills and 2 teams that have zero.
Can ESO devs take a queue from other pvp games, simple ones like Splatoon and PuyoPuyo Tetris, for example? They do a much better job of pairing players with other players of similar skill.
At the very least, an eso character should have a BG Skill Score - a simple way would just be to keep an average of your points scored in the battlegrounds you have participated in. When you queue solo for bg, the queue matches you with players who have a similar score. When you queue with more than one player in a group, the matchmaker averages the score in your group.
Since 9-12 people can sometimes take too long, let battlegrounds be from 3-12 people as long as teams have even numbers.
Also why not have a duel queue, and make use of the same skill score for matchmaking?
