Dark Age of Camelot was my introduction to large-scale Realm vs Realm warfare, small outposts, large fortresses and mega-large Relic Keeps. Great fun!

Ya DAoC RvR was epic. If they had kept up upgrading the games engine and graphics like WoW did. I am sure DAoC would still be the top PvP MMO.

To be fair it's been pay to win every year since summerset, eso plus used to include all yearly dlc until chapters which is fine companies need money. But you gunna tell me being able to upgrade your jewelry isn't a power increase? mythic items? companions? all paid for and not like a wow expansion cause the level cap is the same. non expansion character still get queue'd with expansion characters which means if you're a non eso plus member and you queue for battlegrounds you're at a huge disadvantage and if you don't have the chapter? you're just straight bent over. this is totally a pay to win game, no way around it.

Yeah, but none of that is required or gives you an advantage over players who don't own the content. So, P2W does not hold water. Your first point - upgrading jewelry - You don't have to buy Summerset for that. If you don't have a friend or guild mate that can do it for you, then you can just buy or farm better quality. No purchase necessary. Not P2W.
Your second point - Mythic items - Character bound so you do have to own Greymoor. However, wearing a mythic item does not give one player such an advantage over another that they will win. No more than any sets contained in any dlc or base game. Not P2W.
Third point - Companions - You do have to buy Blackwood for the first 2. No word on if future companion will require owning Blackwood, similar to the antiquities or jewelry crafting, or if they will be game wide more like houseguests, pets, mounts. More importantly, Companions can NOT be used in pvp areas which completely negates any P2W argument. Not P2W
Fourth point - expansion character - I'm guessing you mean classes? Warden and Necromancer? If so then I don't understand you comment about non eso plus queuing with eso plus. Warden and Necromancer are not included with ESO plus. You have to buy those separately. Even then they provide no superior advantage over base game classes in pvp. Not P2W.

I dont think Microsoft cares about ESO tbh.. they didnt buy bethesda/zenimax because of ESO.
