[Harassment] Returning Player

I don't play ESO as much as I used to years ago and after moving on to FF14 I've considered quitting the game for good. So during this Double EXP Event, I decided to try run a dungeon since it gives 200k+ EXP. Right off the bat, I was teamed with CP 1000+'s. Since I gave up on the game, I did not bother with the bad 1-shot mechanics and allowed these people to speed run.

Unfortunately for them, I was the healer that loaded in a few seconds later. They managed to speed run through a few bosses until [snip] (CP 1906) died after being surrounded by mobs. Note, this was a normal dungeon. Right after [snip] died, their friend; [snip] blamed me for not healing although it was a sarcastic "wow so glad we have a healer" statement. According to Markarth who was fortunately not from their group told me that I was being kicked, Markarth was kind enough to decline. [snip] was furious I did not get kicked, they ([snip] and [snip]) went out of the dungeon after saying the usual toxic stuff like "I enjoy watching [snip] players". Since nobody was able to kick anyone, it became a 2 man dungeon with just me and Markarth enjoying the our run rather than speed running it. The other two sat in Deshaan, simply waiting for their free EXP. After the dungeon ended, Markarth thanked me for not being like those two clowns. We added each other, reported and went on our way.

I've listed screenshots for proof:
[snip]

My experience with the ESO community has never been a good one. Markarth was just one of the few patient players whom I've encountered. This is ironic because I usually get excuses on the forums like "Look for a guild" or "High level players will help you". This is just proof that high level players have no patience and would rather speed run a normal dungeon till they literally drop. Greymoor was my last DLC I'll ever buy for this game and this is just my opinion for how dull the content is hence I don't take it seriously like most end game players in ESO would. [snip]

I wouldn't blame all high players, just seem that you are coming across alot of them in random dungeons. which is where most of them end up. lol. Im nearly 2000cp and would never treat anyone like this.

Best thing to do in that situiation is to cut your losses and just leave and wait for the timer and start again. Or just ignore them, they are the ones with a problem and want a response from you. I normally just type back "I like turtles" if want to type something back, and if they keep typing back i just add a really into it. lol.

Dont let others effect your emotions or feelings. Their opinon does not matter.

there are certainly not only nice people on the internet, but if something like this happens to you all the time, it will probably be up to you, because something like this has never happened to me in the last 3 years

I don't get what's the point of this post, first of all. And second you are actually admitting you're there for the xp. [snip]

And lastly, this is just your side of the story. The screenshot only shows the chat after they obviously died and blamed you for not healing them. What happened prior to that is just based on your word.

yeah, those two are worthless deadweight, complaining their imposed-to-the-team speedrun went awry, in a normal dungeon... that's epic-tier ridiculous.

You did what was best. Make them loose their apparently precious time.

But yeah, don't let that sting you.
Most players are really nice, in dungeon, those two clowns notwhistanding..

good for you, go ahead move back to FF14

sh*t people always exist, especially on the internet, you know it, i know it, we all know it

i've been playing the game for 5 years, and i think i can only recall grouping with bad behaviour player 2-3 times

i honestly don't get the point of this post

Even the developers of Zenimax know that the upcoming FF14 DLC is going to outsell Blackwood to the point they had to remove the name for it. Too funny :D
good for you, go ahead move back to FF14
Gladly and just saying, I've not met a single person that would be this triggered by a dungeon in FF14 which has a much larger playerbase than ESO. In every dungeon I've played in FF14, even if they are pugs, they will always greet the group with a simple "Hello". That has never happened in ESO since I've played at launch.

I don’t see how this post didn’t get straight up deleted, the OP is not offering anything constructive and seems to like a different game. I play a lot of random dungeons and most groups say hello in ESO. I’m not sure what cp levels 1,900 and above we’re doing complaining in a normal city of ash 2, I’d probably have solo’d it quicker than it took the time to complain.🤷🏼‍♂️

If I were to speedrun a normal dungeon and leave others behind and died, I wouldn't blame anyone else, certainly not those I'd left behind. Definitely won't throw a hissy fit and embarrass myself for failing to do something easy that I thought I could do. I'd probably just hang my head in shame, offer everyone in the group 100k gold and then quietly leave the group and go cry in a corner.

Tbh. Your experience is exactly the reason why I only do group dungeons that I can solo nowadays.

When I played dungeons with other random players, I played as a tank (not the fake one, a proper group support tank taunting enemies) and out of 10 games, 7 were the ones with extremely toxic people (mostly DPS).

I was hoping that upcoming companions will allow me to do do more dungeons, but companions are unfortunately close to useless for that, even for older dlc dungeons on normal.

In case you did not read clearly, CP 1000's tend to rush normal dungeons because they are able to 1-shot everything. My game loaded in slowly and they decided to run the dungeon without their healer. I healed Markarth throughout the entire dungeon so I don't see your point. Considering I am also a healer in other MMOs, healing in ESO is nothing new to me. Ironically, those CP 1000's don't need healing, this is the first time I've seen one dying in a normal dungeon.

I tank, so my response to speed runners is "You aggro it, you can tank it until I get there, and don't complain if you die." Once I do get there, I tank properly.

That being said, you already reported these players to ZOS, which is both the correct action and the only way that anything is going to get done about it.

Complaining to the peanut gallery in the forums isn't going to accomplish anything constructive, after the fact. We certainly can't do anything but be the peanut gallery.

Ah, ignore those knuckleheads. Play the game, enjoy the game! There are more good people out there than bad in this game.

Put the bad ones on your Ignore list.
