PTS Patch Notes v7.0.4

The Elder Scrolls Online v7.0.4 largely addresses issues surrounding Companions, Blackwood quests, and the Rockgrove trial. We appreciate all the valuable feedback submitted during this PTS cycle! The size of this final patch is approximately 354MB. We look forward to welcoming you to Blackwood on June 1st for PC and June 8th for console!

Companions

General
- Companion achievements that require you to equip your Companions in purple-quality gear will now actually require purple-quality gear.
- Fixed an issue that could cause costume dye swatches in the Outfit Station to appear blank when customizing Companions.
- Other players will now see your character performing an appropriate action while you are in the Companion Menu.
Behavior
- Bastian and Mirri no longer linger as long after getting so angry at you that they leave.
- Mirri now verbally responds when killing certain mobs a little less frequently.
- Bastian now enjoys occasional visits to Mages Guilds.
- Companions now respond more consistently to the death of their player character.
- Similarly, Companions now recognize that a player character is no longer dead, and will be released from their mourning.
- Companions will now only greet you upon being summoned via the collections window or hotkey, and not after each zone transition.
Combat
- Companions can now Roll Dodge up to 2 times per fight, to prevent issues where they endlessly roll dodged away and leashed enemies.
- Fixed an issue where the Guard ability and its morphs could not be cast on Companions.
- Companions will no longer Roll Dodge backwards to move out of melee range when wielding a Frost Staff. However, they may still Roll Dodge upon being reduced to low health.
- Fixed an issue where the Focused Trait was granting less Critical Strike Rating than intended.
- Fixed an issue where Companion's Frost Blast did not show a visual effect on the taunted enemy.
- Companions will no longer endlessly target and attack the sliding stones when engaged.
Quests
- Fixed an issue where you could free Irenni Elendis without Mirri being summoned.
- Fixed an issue where not having Mirri summoned when searching an area would require you to leave and re-enter the area after summoning her.
- Fixed a rare issue that could cause Companions to appear without equipment in some quest contexts.
- Fixed an issue where the “Mother’s Obsession” quest could become blocked after rescuing Irenni.
- Fixed an issue where dismissing Mirri during one of her quest scenes would block the quest.
- Bastion now respawns if he gets stuck during the quest “Competition and Contracts.”

General

All Crafting Writs will now correctly point you to the turn-in location in Leyawiin while you are in Blackwood.

Rockgrove Trial

General
- The Hard Modes for all bosses are now active. Bosses must be progressively defeated in order to activate subsequent Hard Modes.
- Updated the description for the achievement “What is this Filth?” to use the full name of the Noxious Sludge effect.
Oaxiltso
- The “So Fresh So Clean” effect earned from cleansing Oaxiltso's Noxious Sludge now displays a proper description. Scrub-a-dub-dub!
- Oaxiltso will now always cast Savage Blitz when intended.
- Oaxiltso will now wait a bit longer to cast Savage Blitz after drenching players in Noxious Sludge.
- Noxious Sludge now deals slightly less damage per tick.
- Havocrel Annihilators now cast Magma Sludge on a time interval instead of it being based off of their health percentage (note this affects Hard Mode only).
- Havocrel Annihilator’s Cinder Cleave will no longer damage characters outside of the ability’s telegraph.
Flame-Herald Bahsei
- The following changes affect Hard Mode only:
  - Slightly decreased the damage from monsters in this encounter.
  - Decreased the maximum health of Flame-Herald Bahsei, Flesh Abominations and Fire Behemoths.
  - Decreased the number of Wraiths that appear throughout the encounter.
  - Decreased the speed of the Necrotic Orbs throughout the encounter.
  - Increased the frequency of when Prime Meteor appears.
  - Decreased the maximum health of Prime Meteors.
- The following changes affect all difficulties:
  - Cursed Ground now impacts a smaller radius.
  - When your character dies from Death Touch, the Kiss of Death area effects are now released as intended.
  - Embrace of Death now impacts a smaller radius.
  - Increased the frequency of Burning Specter summons.
  - Flesh Abominations will no longer heal to full health while in combat.
- Prime Meteors now have a different telegraph to display their arrival location.
- Mantle of Siroria and other item sets which trigger based on causing damage will no longer trigger just by entering combat with Flame-Herald Bahsei.
Xalvakka
- Monsters summoned into the fight can no longer be hit from abnormal distances.
- Corrupted Azureplasms chosen to combine with new Azureplasms will now refresh their duration immediately.
- The damage radius from Unstable Charge now more closely matches the size of the Corrupted Azureplasm.
- Projectiles launched from an exploding Corrupted Azureplasm now take a bit longer to reach their targets.
- Deadstars will now always appear as intended and will correctly choose bounce targets regardless of how they are cast.
- Players resurrected in Corrupted Azureplasm will no longer immediately die due to Unstable Charge.

Achievements

Updated the text for the “Enticed By Magic” achievement so it no longer incorrectly references drinking from a well.

Furnishings

Fixed an issue that caused the “Leyawiin Counter, Corner” and “Leyawiin Carper, Misty Octad” furnishings to appear significantly offset to one side when placed. They are now centered on your reticule, as expected.

Homes

Fixed an issue where you could revive in place after being devoured by slaughterfish in Pantherfang Chapel, only to immediately be devoured by those same slaughterfish again. This would probably get old quickly. You can still revive at the entrance, even after feeding the fish.
Fixed an issue that caused some of the stonework in the dock-side portcullis in Pantherfang Chapel to flicker between different textures.

General

Fixed a number of books that weren't available after completing their quests.

Oblivion Portals

Watchlings will no longer play special music when engaged in combat and will now award proper loot when defeated.
Adjusted the world building layout in order to prevent your character from inadvertently killing themselves.

Quests

A Deadly Secret: Councilor Jirich now appears where he’s supposed to during this quest.
A Hidden Vault: Fixed an area where dying in the lava would put your character further into the dungeon than intended.
A Mother's Obsession: Fixed an issue where the quest would become blocked after rescuing Irenni.
A Mysterious Event: Fixed an issue where Eveli wouldn't respawn if your character died.
Children of Destruction: This quest will now advance correctly when you reach the portal.
Heroes of Blackwood: Fixed an issue if your character died before speaking to a number of NPCs, it would cause some of them not to reappear on resurrection.
Tome of Shadow: Fixed an issue where the quest assist was attempting to lead you through an inaccessible door

Tutorial

Fixed an issue where you could leave the tutorial prematurely and block your progress.

World Bosses

Ghemvas the Harbinger’s allies can no longer be affected by crowd control abilities.
Ghemvas the Harbinger will now play the correct music when engaged.
Koska and Bhrum no longer heal themselves when enraging after the defeat of their ally.

General

Fixed an issue where some bonuses that activated while Crowd Controlled could get stuck on your character if they died with them active, and would only disable until they re-activated and their duration ran off.
Fixed an issue where some procs that required you to kill an enemy within a time period of damaging it could fail to activate in some situations.

Buffs and Debuffs

Fixed an issue where some Major and Minor Buffs, such as Major Slayer or Aegis, could fail to appear on your buff tracker depending on where they were sourced from.
Fixed an issue where the Minor Magickasteal and Lifesteal debuffs could cause other ability’s targeting context to change in very rare cases, such as Venomous Claw’s increasing damage to be removed after a few ticks.

Hel Ra Citadel
- The War Horn Achievement now properly completes when you sound the War Horn.

General

Fixed an issue where Psijic Portals might not have their resource yields increased during some holidays.
