Did they change the frequency of Twitch Drops?

So the new event is showing May 14-17, I received a crate for watching for an hour on May 14, but it never reset, so not crate for watching May 15 and no crate today on May 16th.

Is it only one crate for the entire event or is something bugged? I did disconnect and reconnect my STEAM account as it has been an issue in the past but not since they moved to the new system.

So does anyone know is it just 1 crate over the 4 days or is it supposed to be resetting?

Since January when the drops system changed, we receive only one drop per campaign. A campaign is the entire period of 3-4 days. This excludes the drops from special events like Eso lives and reveal events.

Thank you, I somehow missed the memo on this. Also: what a dumb thing to do.

Yeah, and for what? Ouro Crates which only ever give out dumb stuff like potions? It's not like they are throwing out huge items on the regular. Watch for an hour, get about 2-5 gems worth of stuff if you sell it back. if you want anything real (400 gems), you gotta watch stuff for about a hundred hours or so. So, wth are they afraid of? Why so stingy?

I mean I spend a couple a hundred on crowns everytime they go on sale, also sub by the year...only reason I care is I want the stupid mount from those boxes. Otherwise it's just trash...I already got the pet and at this rate god only knows when I might see the mount.

Perhaps they have noticed the lack of gratitude for the freebies and notice a trend to entitlement?

I was wondering if perhaps they changed it for simplicity, or maybe even to try to be fairer?

What I mean by simplicity is, under the new drops system it seems like they need to have a different campaign each day if they want to have 1 drop per day. If I remember correctly, that's actually how some of the campaigns worked in the early days of the new drops system-- there would be a campaign listed for Saturday (meaning the start/end date/time would be limited to just Saturday), then a second campaign listed for Sunday, and each campaign would give a drop. I assume it's easier on ZOS if they can just turn a campaign on for the weekend and leave it on, rather than having to set up separate campaigns for each day of the weekend.

And what I mean by fairer is, every time there's a drops campaign, a lot of players complain about not being able to claim a drop, or that they missed a drop because they weren't aware that a drops campaign was on and weren't able to watch for the required length of time before the campaign ended, or because they watched but didn't realize until later that their Twitch and ESO accounts weren't linked, and so forth. Or, if it was a campaign where viewers were supposed to be able to get multiple drops consecutively, players complain that they got the first drop but then the drops progress bar wouldn't reset, or it did reset but then froze up at some percentage, and so on. Having a single campaign that lasts for the entire weekend and rewards just a single drop hopefully gives everyone a chance to hear that there's a campaign on, have plenty of opportunity to watch for the required length of time before the campaign ends, have time to notice and correct any problems such as having to relink their accounts and watch all over again, and so on. It certainly won't guarantee that some people won't run into problems and complain, but hopefully it does help even the playing field a bit so to speak.

I mean, sure, maybe it's just ZOS being stingy or whatever. But I try not to see everything in a negative or suspicious light. :)

LOL. "freebie" Are you insane? 4 potions is a freebie? In a system that requires people gambling hundreds of dollars in order to get a glowy horsey in a video game?

You gotta re-direct where you throw out the word entitlement. There is definitely a lot of entitlement out in this world. But you got some twisted logic to think it applies to this silly scenario.

And not technically a Freebie either. They are not handed out to everyone across the board with no requirement. That would be a Freebie. There Is a requirement that must be fuflfilled to " Earn " the crate.

There are only two "cool" things in these crates - a pet and a mount. Everything else is just stuff to destroy for a handful of gems.
