How do I use Petty Glyph of Health

eternaltorment
I know about the level requirements but is it the item level or the character level that matters? My character is level 13 but the items I'm trying to enchant are level 8. And it tells me "You do not have any enchantments that can be applied to this item".

I think gear has its own character level requirements already.

Do you already have an enchantment applied to that gear? I discovered if the same enchant is already applied we cannot apply it again. Double-check that.

    Good luck.

Yes. I want to replace the enchantement with Petty Glyph of Health. I don't know how to remove an enchantment from a piece of armor.

I do have armor styles applied to my gear. Would that be causing a conflict with enchanting?

I think the only way you can "remove" a glyph is by overwriting it with a new and different glyph. In other words, if the armor already has the same glyph you are trying to apply(level, quality, and type) then you cannot apply it because it would not change anything. I doubt your armor style has any effect.

Short version. If the armor has a petty glyph of health already applied it will not accept the petty glyph of health you are trying to apply.

The easiest way to test this is to pretend you are applying a petty glyph of stamina and see if it will allow you, but do not waste the enchant in actually applying it.

If you look at the glyph, it'll tell you a minimum level that the gear needs to be to use it.

From memory, petty is for armor level 10.
