Biting jabs and other stuff and CP

Howdy,

I have no idea what CP affects biting jabs, Templar isn't even my main character.

I was using the Alcast guide for solo stamina templar and liked it but now above 600 CP and I can't figure it out. There is no definitive answer anyway, I'm trying to test on a guild dummy.

The guide has "deadly aim" as a CP to take but not that many of the abilities he selected are single target, does deadly aim effect jabs? I can't imagine that it should but IDK, I don't want to do the work of earning a college degree playing this game, they could have just put an icon in the skill or a tooltip, makes me not want to play anymore.

Slotting "Biting Aura" the area of affect definitely did increase my damage.

Jabs is AOE + Direct Damage.

However, the Burning Light passive, Relequen, Executioner, and Light Attack weaving is Single Target + Direct Damage and all appear as the stronger parts of your total dps.

Single Target is usually recommended over aoe, because you will find most of your dps leans in that direction. The line for that is a bit more even for Templars vs other classes, so if you're unsure. Try doing a parse and adding up where all your damage actually comes from.

Even the smaller dps numbers like Status Effects and Enchants are single target + direct/dot.
