Bots going crazy with new event

Bots are still running rampant in most zones making this new event a pain when it should be enjoyable.
I prefer to farm on the starter islands as it’s easier to get around less enemy’s yet you can barely get a node without bots sitting there and getting it first.
Even Aurdion has been taken over with packs of 30 or more sorcerers farming bears.
Alik’r desert packs farming mud crabs.
What’s the point of the event when the bots are going to clean up and you have to struggle.
I report most I see but they are still there days later.
Is it just something we are going to have to suffer with?
Why do an event like this knowing it’s going to ramp up bots two fold.

Skullstachio✭✭✭✭✭To the OP: Trust me on this, I get exactly what you feel, if your on console, just report them to Microsoft/Sony as they are slightly more inclined to discreetly deal with fake accounts in comparison. On PC, not much you can do about it.
In my case: I just report a few and move on with my original intent of playing the game, enjoying the scenery. And in the case of farming, I just hit up craglorn on rare occasions (because resource nodes there have a rare chance of dropping fortified/potent nirncrux.) or if your not in the mood for craglorn, I’d probably scrounge around the clockwork city as it is just as small in comparison to some of the base game zones like bal foyen and betnikh.If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...
If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.2 -

These events turn Craglorn into harvesting PvP. It's always a little cut-throat, but double-mat events make everyone there downright vicious.
Same with Hollow City and alchemy mats. I call it "The Flowergrounds" for how competitive it becomes.1 -
