Double XP event not working with craft writs

Turning in craft writs is giving only the base xp reward - the double xp event seems to have no effect - unlike prior xp events with actual buff running on char screen.

For example - turning in craft writ before this event with no xp buff drink/scroll gives base xp only, as expected. During this event, with no potion/scroll buff I get same base xp - double xp from event is ignored.

With 100% drink buff active during this event, I get double the base xp - it should be triple if the event xp was working and stacking.

With 100% drink buff AND prior anniversary event buff still running (have some chars with this buff timer still active), I get the expected triple base xp (100% base + 100% drink + 100% anniv event buff)

So it appears that unlike the anniversary event 100% buff, the current Explorers event buff has zero effect on craft writs.

@ZOS_GinaBruno - is this intended or unintended with current event buff as description says double xp from ALL sources?

You might be mistaking XP with Inspiration? AFAIK, the event doesn't give double Inspiration.

It does not appear to be working on exp gain in skyreach or nBRP, either. The event page does say "double exp from every source", so it would be good to have some zos clarification on what is and is not intended to give it.

Pretty sure he means XP. Crafting writs are a great way to boost XP if you have them stockpiled. I wonder if other quest XP is also not working. And as stated, the event page does say XP from every source. Perhaps they stealth nerfed all the good grinds by 50%? Haha.

Not mistaken - craft writs have always given both char xp + inspiration.

The base xp for one max tier craft writ is bit over 1k xp, which works to level up, raise skill morphs, etc. it would take awhile but you can level to 50 doing nothing but craft writs - same for leveling every single skill morph to max.

Base + event + 100% drink should be triple this value, but currently only gives double. And as I said in OP with my tests, I can prove this by using char with prior anniversary event buff still running - on those chars I get the expected additional 100% xp.

Therefore either current even buff is worded incorrectly as not -all- sources are buffed, or it is bugged. Has nothing to do with inspiration.

If the base XP is approx 1K then double XP was working for me, as I was getting around 16K XP from my daily writs.

Will take your word for it, which means stacking is not working then.

All my chars still have 100% drink buffs running and I was only getting x2, not x3 as expected xp. I will test with no drink buff when timer runs out.

Either way though, either the event buff is not working with craft writs or the stacking with 100% drink is not working because I’ve positively confirmed that:
    A) base + 100% drink + old anniv event buff gives expected triple xp
    B) base + 100% drink + current explorer buff only gives double xp (100% buff is missing)

Base XP from a daily crafting writ is 748.5. Seven writs at double XP is 10,480-ish (depending on rounding). Are you using a scroll or ambrosia potion? ESO+ and the Ring of Mara also contribute but additively. Having both of those with double XP would net you about 11.5k XP for seven daily writs.

Can we get this confirmed that the event does cover XP from craft writs and is working?

I do not want to burn dozens of writs if it is not

The numbers are really bizarre, here is test I just ran with character that initially has zero extra space buffs (no scroll or drink, no old anniversary event buff still active, etc)

This is the exact xp results from turning in 1 max tier craft writ during current explorer event

1- No drink / scroll buffs or old event buff timer = 1571 xp
    2- 100% drink buff active. = 2319 xp
    3- 100% drink + old anniversary event buff active = 3074 xp

So this is really odd - I assumed base xp was about 1k because most my 18 crafters have 100% drink running and was getting 2319 xp, which I assumed was base + drink and event not working. But if actual base is only 748.5, then it appears the math is really wonky and xp stacking is bugged

At 748.5, double xp should be 1497 (but I get 1571). Triple xp should be 2245 but I get 2319. And anything more shouldn’t be possible because you normally shouldn’t be able to get two event buffs stacking - yet my 4 chars with old anniversary event buff still running + 100% drink is getting 3074 xp

This is either triple what i thought was roughly 1k base cap or more than 4x the base value of 748.5 you say it is. (And even there the math is wonky bc 749.5 x 4 = 2994 vs the 3074 I get). Maybe eso+ xp bonus making the numbers not exactly align

Are you sure the base is 748.5?

Edit - only way I am getting 3074 xp with chars still running anniversary event buff is if it incorrectly stacks with current event buff because assuming h base is 748.5, I am getting more than 4x the base with char running base + 100% drink + anniv event + explorer event

However, so far this is only with craft writs - I am not getting double event buffs stacking when turning in a daily quest like gold coast delve and arena, just the expected triple. So either I am getting bugged x4 with craft writs only, or the base 748.5 is not correct. I’m not sure myself so will take your word for it and conclude the event buffs are incorrectly stacking with craft writs but correctly excluding each other for quest xp.

I don't think one event's XP boost is supposed to stack with another event's XP boost-- AFAIK, never has, never will.

Well that's why I assumed at first the base xp was bitr over 1k, because didn't think two event buffs could stack, but I am positively getting more than 4x base if you assume the base is 748.5

Char with base + 100% ambrosia drink + old anniversary event timer still running gets 3074 xp with 1 max tier craft writ. That is over 4x the presumed 748.5 base xp.

So either the base xp is wrong and explorer event buff is not working with craft writs, or base is correct and somehow old anniversary event + explorer event are incorrectly stacking.

To add more confusion, I re-ran my tests with another char that had drink buff timer expire - and I get slightly different numbers - which is damn odd because no race difference should account for slightly more xp.

With prior char that had ~half of 100% drink buff active, I got exactly 2319 xp turning in 1 craft writ.
With another char that drank 100% drink buff just now, I got 2326 xp turning in the identical craft writ, even same type (cloth)

Both these chars are same account so have same eso+ bonus, drank the identical 100% ambrosia - including made in the same batch by same crafter so as identical as can get. So 1 char with base + drink + event got 2319, and other with same buffs got 2326.

Only difference was 1 char had half expired drink timer, and other was freshly activated. I can't see any possible way the duration time left on drink buff should matter but there it is, 2319 vs 2326 with exact same account + buffs, just 2 diff race/class chars and timer difference on drink

Saw the same thing. I got double gold but NOT double xp from crafting writs.
