It looks like an Event started at 14.00 UTC. the Explorers Celebration. Have I missed something or hasn't this been announced? Runs for a week.

Yeah, there hasn't been an announcement. Would have expected an article at least.

Maybe it was supposed to be an "upcoming" event that accidentally went live.

Who knows at this point.

I don't know what changed at Zo$ over the last few months. But they've clearly lost their way.

It’s not an event you want to announce prior. Otherwise it can easily be abused what with 2x gold.

It would hardly break the economy if everyone got double gold for 1 extra day's worth of writ rewards, would it...

Now if it doubled the chances of refining gold mats then that's something that would be worth preparing for in advance.

Last time they rolled it out the timing felt like it was an apology for the constant bluescreening that was going on at the time. Perhaps this one is to make up for all the inventory and trader bugs at the moment.
It would be nice if this one included double telvar and key fragments for the PVPers, and maybe free skill and CP respecs too.

Is this event even working? I run a regular CP grind route for leveling. I have 50% scroll plus all training gear. With double XP...should I not see FASTER leveling?

I know how many mobs ai have to kill in my area and an approximate time it take for one CP level. It seems like this morning it is SLOWER.

Yo ZOS....it’s +100% xp if it’s doubled. If I’m getting 100% xp and I add 100% xp, that’s 200% xp. Double. Might wnna check if you didn’t add a negative sign...-100%.

Next event with tickets is Midyear Mayhem, confirmed to take place in June. Double AP, extra TelVar from reward boxes,
have not heard drop of Key Fragments ever doubled

Even before this event I've noticed that experience scrolls don't always seem to work. Without an increased experience scroll I usually get approximately 12 K experience for doing a Dragon. Yesterday WITH using a scroll I was actually getting less...9 K.

I've noticed this quite a bit in the recent past.

OMG....don’t say that. I have been consuming xp scrolls like fresh, salted McDonalds fries. Cmon...

I have also noticed this. The last few events, I was using xp scrolls( even a few of the super-duper scrolls), double xp, with ESO+ and the gains barely registered. I had a pile of Master writs to burn through,and even those showed little gain. It felt like a waste of scrolls tbh.

My scrolls been working fine,I see difference in gains.Part of the issue is you need so much xp now it hardly registers as much unless you turn in dailies,or master writs,especially if enlightenment is over.The xp gain on kills is hardly worth it now,best to only do dailies/master writs to level up anymore,since dolmen/kill grind is not worth it really anymore.
