Doesn't Necromancer's Curative Curse Pretty Much Counter Resistent Flesh's Defile?

I feel like there's something I'm not seeing (yes I know defile affects health regen) but the 8% defile gets pretty much negated by the curative curse passive of 8% more healing done when a negative effect is on you.

Makes for a bursty heal, I guess...

Not at all.

I guess it means you get no buff for self heals and 8% less from incoming heals but heal others for an extra 8%?

Short answer, the 8% malus outweighs the 8% bonus, I believe.

Long answer and math:

Player characters have multiple sources of healing bonuses (which also depends on each individual character). The more bonuses you have, the more detrimental a malus like that is.

Example;

You wear 2 pieces of heavy armor, have the 8% bonus from curative, and have a CP star for another 2% healing done (super rough example).

Healing value: 10,000
Healing value with bonus calculated: 10,000 * 1.08 * 1.02 * 1.02 = 11,236.32.

The malus applies after the bonus, so

11,236.32 * 0.92 = 10,337.4144

If you just used the two 1.02 bonus from your other sources,

10,000 * 1.02 * 1.02 = 10,404.

Someone feel free to correct me if the malus is applied to base.
