Lost Class Skill Levels with Skill Point Reset

Warning:

You may have lost Skill category levels with the reset, but Support won't do squat about it.

My 2nd oldest character had the full Templar Class Skill Lines to 50 prior to the reset, but now I finally get around to him and find he has 5 for 2 of them. Support says "we don't adjust levels" even though I just want what I had.

Annoying, but another sign the game may be fully decaying. This sucks because no good alternatives exist, which may be why they get by with not caring.

This should be in a General ESO Discussion area since it is a general issue!

A bunch of other things got whacked as well, in those skill lines. Nothing to do but re-grind.

    Perhaps I really am in the wrong here, but the response from Support was not "that is where you were" but "we don't do anything." I find it hard to believe, but nothing I can do but grind again.

    I took screenshots off all my characters before the reset. It was a painful (time-consuming) process, but I wanted to have that documentation for what each character had-- not because I didn't trust the reset, but so I'd know what to spend points on to get my characters back to where they were.

    If you have screenshots, that should help back up your claim when contacting support; otherwise they could simply say (and they might be correct) that perhaps you're just remembering things incorrectly.

    They moved around some skills in an update like 2 years ago, and were grandfathered into the new XP cost if you hadn't respecced that skill since then... With the forced skill reset to fix bugs, it made you lose the progress (of the unmorphed version, once you unlock that the whole skill will be at 4 again for the morphed version)

    Lost my chains briefly on my tank for this reason.

    Support is extremely limited in some respects. They do not refund lost xp or grant achievements you should have earned that bugged out. They will just tell you to regrind them.

    Heck, sometimes they can’t even tell you if there is a bug with something at all — last time I asked, about a crown store product no less, they said they “have no contact with the developers” and so can’t speak to whether something is a bug or not. It’s a little concerning that a support team doesn’t have access to any of the devs, even to a known list of issues beyond what the player base gets, but it may help explain the limited functionality.

    This hasn’t changed too much over the past few years at least, so I wouldn’t take that as a sign of a recent downhill change so much as just a consistent, if sometimes disappointing, level of help.

    Not as bad bit I noticed I dropped down from 9 to 8.

    Perhaps not, but the overall trend is not good.

    WoW is killing itself off though, so they may feel quite comfortable.

    As to screen shots another mentioned, that would have been a pain and I doubt it would have helped given the response.
