hi there .i have been thinking about buying the game as I have recently purchased Xbox series x . Which server should I start playing on ? Xbox eu server or na ?
I have heard reports from people that say Xbox eu servers for games are not populated and people have problem queuing for pvp battlegrounds or for dungeons ? Any help and guidance will be appreciated .ty

    EU has far less players.

    Advantages:
    - you pay no dues for guild traders, as every main trading guild gets a place in a main trading location easily. On NA, you pay 20k gold per week for a mournhold trader.
    - no queues for PVP (cyrodiil), while on NA you might wait an hour or more.

    Disadvantages:
    - if you do many daily worldboss quests to get the rewards (furnishing material), you had to solo most bosses, as there are no other players around. For this reason I skip those quests meanwhile on EU, just do the daily delves. On NA I do many worldbosses, as many random players are found, so the fights end quickly.
    - less trading: I sell a lot more on NA than on EU, as there is a higher amount of buyers. There are also many items not available on EU, that you can find on NA (rare furnishing plans, motifs, furniture).
    - higher prices due to less competition, e.g. mundane rune on EU approx 1000 gold atm., 600 on NA

I started on NA 2 years after starting on EU, soon will reach the same level (cp1310 on EU, cp1110 on NA), as my solo player oriented gameplay gives me more advantages on NA.

Another issue to take in account is lag.
I don't play "endgame" content (like very difficult trials or hardmode dungeons).
As I play from europe, I have more lag playing on NA. This is ok to fight worldbosses in a group, but for endgame content EU with less lag would be better.

    Conclusion:
EU has some advantages, but to work around the disadvantages you are forced to more social interaction.
E.g. to avoid dungeon queues, you could join or organize dungeon runs in your guilds.

Depends what you want to do.

From a PVE side, EU is plenty busy. There's a lot of trial groups, both endgame and prog, plenty of people doing pledges (you actually get a group a lot quicker by being in undaunted areas than group finder) and plenty of people in zones that have a point to being in (some base game ones like Shadowfen and green shade are quite dead, but there's not a lot of point to hanging around there anyway).

For PVP though, EU is a ghost town. BGs usually take a while to get, IC is fairly dead and Cyro is pretty empty at the moment. It might be the proc sets thing causing it, but last Friday at 7pm each alliance only had one bar. Which is poor.

I played NA for a month or two and got to like 200cp (about 20 from my guild did too and some still play there) and pvp is a lot more alive. PvE is too, but that might be a negative for some people, and EU is still fine in that department.

Only reason I stopped playing NA is because I did VMA like 5 times trying to get a staff and thought "wtf am I doing all this again for??". I have all the gear and sets I need, characters and skills levelled, over 20m gold etc etc so couldn't justify starting over. If a server switch was on option though, I'd probably be straight there.

I started on EU and agree that there are zones where I am still unable to complete the world bosses as there are less players around, however, it’s thrilling when I do find someone and we manage to beat the wb together before wandering off to the next one in the hope that I get lucky again. I created my NA account when I realised that that I would get the free Alpine Antiquarian house there too and that my ESO+ covered both. Perhaps if you enjoy PVP/guilds more, start on NA and then wait for the next free house before trying EU as well.

Personally, I prefer playing solo so I find NA too crowded sometimes, especially doing daily writs with all the bears and sorc pets. Also, there are sometimes so many people at dolmens, wbs etc during events, that they are over too quickly and I get no loot. As a PVEr, I only go to Cyrodil and Imperial City during events and find that queuing times are usually about the same during the day but get longer as more people join after work etc.

Whichever you choose, I hope you have as much fun in the game as I do 😀
