Queuing up for a normal dungeon but get put into the vet dungeon?

Is this another one of those game bugs that up until now I've just missed happening to me?

My dk healer queued up for Lair of Maarselok on normal but ended up in the vet version .

I checked the dungeon finder afterwards and yes it was still on normal.

The dungeon mode only affects the dungeon when you port or enter it directly (not through the finder).

If you use the finder and select a specific dungeon you need to tick the normal or veteran version of the dungeon, or both. There are two lists. Did you tick the normal version?

Ive had it happen a couple of times, though not for a while. DF just gets confused every now and again. Like, it can handle one person, it can (usually) handle 4, but god it gets confused if you queue as a group of three.

More than likely this is what you're seeing. The dungeon mode doesnt apply to specific dungeons selected.

There is an actual bug where this happens, though I think it's really rare and probably hard to pin down. I've only ever seen it a couple times. The group finder will put a <50 in a vet instance.

Oh god no, the bug from the Stonethorn patch returned. Guess it's time to not queue for dungeons on my below 50 toons then I guess.

I've actually had this happen to me numerous times, and in reverse order too - Queing for vet and got thrown into normals, and also qued for normals and got thrown into vet. It happens less often than it did like 3-4 months ago, but it was a regular thing for a while, at least for me.

Also the normal DLC are on the middle of the list followed by the starter vet dungeons. Its easy to do mistakes here if you don't know.
It has the benefit that you can queue for both normal and veteran dungeons at once like 2 vet and normal dlc.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

This^^^. I didn't believe it until I saw it myself. Nothing like getting into a vet Scalecaller with a level 20 healer.

Does anyone know how to replicate that bug? If I could go into vet dlc before level 50 I might get to actually leveling my last character.

Actually bringing a fresh level 10 with 30k every stat and 3k every recovery along with proper gear and cp setup in a vet dungeon could be heaps of fun XD

We had it two times last week, queing with 2 in Group (Wife and I do not often play together, more side by side), 1 Heal, 1 dd, got an 1100+ dd and a 86 Tank
    in ICP ^^
The Tank vanished after he was hit lethal on the first Boss...
Next Day, Setup in 2 was 1 Tank, 1 dd...we got Moon Hunter Keep...the first heal quit imediatly after entering the Dungeon, the second Quit immediatly...so we lost confession...

    the joys of "random dungeon"

Thanks for all the replies :)

I don't remember specifically making sure I was selecting the dungeon on normal within the normal list of dungeons at the top versus the vet list below it.

So there is a possibility I didn't, but usually, I make sure I'm doing normal, especially as sometimes I farm sets with my templar healer, that I'm still collecting, and there are dungeons like Frostvault that are easier to farm on normal.

I don't. Its so rare I haven't seen a pattern. My guess is that someone queued with the low level player to get them into a normal dungeon. I queued through Dungeon Finder for the vet dungeon. How they go from normal to vet is confusing to me. Maybe the higher level player had "vet" in their group settings?

EDIT: This bug also overrides the CP 300 requirement for DLC dungeons. In fact, I've only had this happen in DLC dungeons, with March of Sacrifices being the most common dungeon
