Zos I would love to see you give us an option to turn off the visuals of other players summoned pets.
Trying to tank when Maw of the Infernals is flamming the boss, its not fun at all.
Ever tried to activate a wayshrine or get into a chest when 2 or 3 sorc pets are on top of it. Dang near impossible lol. I've actually had to ask other players to move so I could activate a wayshrine. LOL GOD FORBID IF ITS THAT BIG OLE BUTT BEAR FROM WARDEN. GOOD LUCK!!!

This has been one of the most requested features in game for quite some time and currently still is. There's absolutely zero mechanical downsides, it benefits both pet classes and everyone else trying to see what they are doing, and removes the ability of trolls to hamper player experience by deliberately blocking crucial wayshrines and crafting services. ZOS, can this please be addressed?

I do on a couple of 'builds' (for magplar and magsorc), but only for solo stuff.

I feel that pet magsorc doesn't bring a lot to the table in group stuff and for magplar there are better options (that don't get in people's way).

I am always hesitant to ask what OP is asking though; I have an inkling that the solution offered by ZOS if they even felt inclined to do so would be to remove any sliver of appeal, however niche, this monster set may have and call it a day.

Yes it has. But it's good to know they're listening. Apparently.

When requesting this, though, it's important to stress that action transparency is not sufficient - these pets etc hog a HUGE amount of the visual field and, in the case of twightlight sorc pet, the constant flapping movement is both distracting and annoying.

We, as players, need a toggle to switch off the visibility of all other players pets.

Wait, what? Did you misunderstand the post you quoted, or am I misunderstanding you; when did ZOS acknowledge this problem? AFAIK, they've never said squat about it...

But yes, I whole-heartedly agree with you; I don't even want to see the annoying flappy fetchers or the big dopey bears at this point! It's not just about interaction transparency -- I want the visual annoyance reduced/removed as well! Well said! :)

I like what D3 did for pet builds. They are mostly ghosted. The player using them can see them like normal, but other players are seeing the ghosted versions.

I run a petsorc with a flapping bird, and even I would pay to have the annoying creature either walk like 20 meters behind me, be smaller or be invisible unless in combat. Pets are way too intrusive, and set summoned creatures are usually huge and very annoying. I also run a WW/NB bosmer with Defiler's and when on close range, having the Oblivion-take-it hunger covering the mob is incredibly annoying. I do like the damage boost these sets give, and I do like running a pet sorc build, but I wouldn't complain if something was done to make these creatures less intrusive in the view field.

I still run it for trash or boss fights with a lot of mobility (or where Zaan just does not work correctly). It still hits harder than other helms based on logs. If a tank asks me to take it off, I work around it.

I agree. I think another good alternative is something like "Subdued effects" where a much less intrusive animation plays.

Like instead of seeing a daedroth, its just a quick spout of flame. Or instead of tremorscal its just a puff of dust.

For AoEs put a green or red circle marker with the abilities name and at most a glow effect. Maybe players name too.

Do you happen to know if it outperforms Skoria? Skoria's long been my go-to when range/mobility preclude other helms since it never misses and is just kind of cool.

Given Skoria gives Pen (vs Maw's Max Mag bonus) I would assume that helps a substantial amount too, but not necessarily in a way that would be super apparent on logs. Just an assumption, though...
