No communication is a huge problem

Why is there so little communication? Craft bags and selling broken on console, people complained about champion points. The only response we get is when someone's post is edited or removed. I have complained about a lot of stuff in the forums and some of it may be dumb. But please give us a answer why you don't communicate with us. Do you think we are wrong? Is their internal struggle in the company? Is everyone busy with something? Overworked?

Give us SOMETHING.

Giving us insight is bad for business, since people might quit pre-emptively if they knew. Less profit means direct incentive to not do it. Simple as.

They can just change it acording to the communities reaction? Literally the whole point of PTS is to get feedback.

Oh they change but for far worse. At least around 2016-2018 you had some communication between team and players even if it was pretty bad. Now they simply announce stuff and moderate the forum, that's all.
At this point I don't even know why ZoS need community manager job as those ppl clearly don't engage with community on different way then in heavy scripted streams or in announcements.
And it is not only community thought, EVEN @ZOS_GinaBruno SAID THAT THEY KNOW THE COMMUNICATION IS BAD.
They promised to change and now it is even worse.
At this point who cares. They cannot get any worse in that and I expect they won't change for the better.
For ZoS communication is clearly not the problem. They will keep that model till new big MMO will show up and then we will see statements that "now we will inprove because we always heard you "gang"".
Only form of communication I expect from them is that one of the moderators will probably delete this post as it is not a positive lie about how great the team manage these stuff.

oh yeah, i agree that what ZoS need is slap in the face

but i doubt any big upcoming MMO will change it, in the grand scheme of things, ESO not really that popular MMO, WoW, FF14 are still ahead, and probably with huge margin if we're looking at stats on streaming service and player stat base on Steam alone

the only reason i still play ESO is its the only MMO without boring tab targeting that already been used for years in MMO with digestable and pleasing aesthetic/art, i really crossed my finger that at least AoC or New World will be great

Thank you team ZOS. Meanwhile, it would be encouraging to know why or what issue happened. I know for security or other reasons we can't know all the details, but *something* would be nice so we can have a better understanding imho.

Honest question for you...why should they? And that's not an attack answer, I'm not saying offhand that they shouldn't, but your question seems to imply that the natural state of things is that they SHOULD be responding to you and they have to have some REASON not to, whereas I'm more of the opinion that the natural state of things should be that we play the game and if the devs CHOOSE to give us some information they can.

My point is, we (and by we I mean the ESO community) complain. We complain day and night, hour after hour. We complain about balance, and features, and crown crates (which I personally DESPISE) and pvp and pve and the list goes on and on and on. IF...if...I were the community relations dept at ZOS and I decided that we should respond to every jabbering complaint and comment and question that I read on the forums day by day, I'd have a staff of a thousand people typing away like madmen 24 hours a day at a cost of millions (or more) per year that would NEVER ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING because as a whole, the MMO community (of every MMO I've ever played) complains RELENTLESSLY all the time.

Now, that's not what EVERY person in the community does, but the community existing as-a-whole basically eats, sleeps, and...excretes...complaints 24/7, 365.

And you KNOW, you JUST KNOW, that IF the devs responded to even a significant fraction of the complaints with anything but the most non-committal and perfunctory responses, they'd get mountains of complaints ABOUT THE THINGS THEY JUST SAID in addition to the regular complaints about the general state of the game at any given moment.

My point is, at least from my own perspective, committing to responding consistently to the community would be an endless sinkhole of unappreciated effort by the dev team - to such an extent, that I am perfectly capable of understanding why they don't do it. I wouldn't - or, well, I would, because I like talking to people, but I wouldn't expect a business to engage on that level, or to commit the necessary resources WITH NO FORESEEABLE RETURN ON INVESTMENT in sight.

In short - communicating with you (the community, not you personally) wouldn't, IMO, actually stop the endless train of complaining - it would just shift some of the actual complaints while quite possibly opening the company up to liability and a variety of other company-costing issues - it's a lose/lose proposition from a business standpoint, as far as I can see. And THAT, MIGHT, be why they don't answer your questions or respond to your complaints. Maybe they know that it won't make any difference to the community as a whole, and appeasing you personally isn't a cost-effective use of the company's resources.
