Unique Item Drops

I am referring to items in this drop table: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Unique_Items

Does anyone know why ZoS stopped doing these? It feels like a missed opportunity in the newer dungeons/overlands to give extra lore.

On top of that, would people actually like these back? Personally, I would like these.

Might not be listed on that wiki, but I have found unique drops like those in Western Skyrim and the Reach.

Its simply named items of sets given as quest rewards.
For overland sets its an nice way to get an specific item like the named mother's sorrow staff.

Think they stopped for newer dungeons but overland still have the named items.
Before quest reward from an dungeon quest one on of named items but now you get an random item.

Yes please i like the unique named set pieces I use in different builds. Lord Warden shield is super fun and it's a shame now dlc dungeons reward a random item.
