Please Stop Re-Skinning so Much!

Can future humanoid enemies have original skeleton rigs & animations please? Not saying that everything is a re-skin but enemies like Draugr & Falmer should be different models & animations. Not just a humanoid model with a different personality set.

Same goes for the Void enemies, felt like there was definitely room for unique void creatures rather than simply dark cloaked humanoids

EDIT: playing through Blackreach - great looking zone but the enemies leave something to be desired. The only "New" creatures are the Chaurus & Vampire Lords, everything else is a re-skin. Are there any weird, unusual, strange creatures in Blackreach? Not really just a bunch of reskinned wolves, cats, and bears. Seriously - the year has to have more NEW creatures & enemy types. The whole year should have been focused on Namira. Imagine what kind of creatures she has in her realm...

I dont mind reskins that much as long as they look distinct enough. Void enemies looked cool and had a unique vibe to them, but things like swamp jellies make no sense being in blackreach. Swamp jellies are native to black marsh, but atleast it makes sense that their population stretches through blackwood and elsweyr. Why are they in black reach?

because they technically were not swamp jellies - same model & animation but technically a different monster.

(Mistake thought you were talking about the blobs - not the floating jelly fish)

I think the void enemies were very nice reskins, except for the voidiplasms.

Elsweyr had swashbucklers and flame acolytes, just saying. Dang I miss that chapter.
That one khajiit obsessed with werewolf behemoth and vampire lord. Lady Thorn is bae, dont @ me.

I just didn't think they had any unique mechanics or abilities that made them particularly stand out.

Like what if they made a new enemy unit that looks like a shade crawling fast on the ground?

I think it wouldn't make sense for draugr to use a different skeleton because they're undead nords. Yes they're reanimated corpses but they've not gone through some sort of massive transformation, so they should still look like nords, just dead.

point being to make them more like the ones in TESV. They were a different model and had a different set of animations for their rig.
Too many of the undead enemies are too similar in body types and animations. They could be further differentiated through models, animations, and abilities.

Falmer just feel too much like ESO Goblins

    on non-humanoid enemies
Greymoor & Dark Heart of Skyrim overall just had way too much re-skinning and blatant asset re-use for my taste.

The Werewolves I understand, but the voriplasm, Wraith-of-Crows, and the "Reaper" which was really the boss from Summerset but red - meeh.

I would have liked more original enemy units - maybe daedra more specific to Namira.

Does it really matter? They'll be dead within a couple seconds anyway, we only catch a glimpse of mobs.

It seems they were brought there by Dwemer as well as shroom beetles.

This isn't going to change. It is much easier, and cheaper, to create a new texture for an existing model than it is to create a new model, make sure it animates properly, then create a texture for it. On top of that, if they reuse the same models, it helps with performance since they don't have to load both the model and the texture and store them into video memory if the model is already loaded.

playing through Blackreach - great looking zone but the enemies leave something to be desired. The only "New" creatures are the Chaurus & Vampire Lords, everything else is a re-skin.

Are there any weird, unusual, strange creatures in Blackreach? Not really just a bunch of reskinned wolves, cats, and bears. Come On, This is Blackreach! If the devs are going to bring us back to old zones then they have got to do more interesting things with it.

Seriously - the year has to have more NEW creatures & enemy types. The whole Skyrim year should have been focused on Namira honestly. Imagine what kind of creatures she has in her realm...

This "Vampires. Werewolves, and Witches" was just NOT a good year. I think Vampires could have been better in a Hammerfell Year - the main Villain was a Yokudan, and Sai had a whole moment of finding his inner sword - that would have fit WAY better in a Hammerfell year.
